I woke up this morning to try to win this fight I have had for days with my damn tv, our 3-year-old daughter somehow turned on the CC on the DVR box and we had no idea how to fix that.

I read the suggestions listed here and I wanna say a big huge THANK YOU to the person who suggested that to turn off the cable box thgen hit menu button and it would be there...your so right! THANK YOU again......

Motorola DVR Model DCX3501-M front display shows the channel selection. I want it to display the time of day and only show the channel selection when I am changing channels. The manual is of no help

It is a cable provider setup within the menu. On charter here are the steps - menu, TV guide main menu, setup, Cable box setup, front LED display.... I don't know what these other people are trying to answer for You can also adjust the brightness display by pressing power followed by menu (starting with the tv on).

My tv remote fell in the toilet

Lay it on the counter with the batteries removed. Use a blow dryer to dry it out as much as possible. It should be okay electrically, but it may smell.
