Just got a Mag One BPR battery delivered to me and
The charger which comes with the BPR40 is a rapid charger. (The book doesn't indicate if it is a 90 min. or 3 hour charger.) None-the-less, your battery is fine. When your charger is displaying green it will continue to trickle (slow) charge the battery to keep it topped off, so to speak. The first 3 charge cycles you should leave the battery on the charger the full recommended time. On most Motorola radios it is 10-12 hours. This will assure your battery is charged to full capacity and initiated properly. In most cases, your traditional charging of the radio should be overnight. When you go to bed, put the radio to bed on the charger.
FYI: All batteries come from the factory with some charge in them. It is a small test charge to assure the battery's funcationality.
If for some reason after the first week or so, you think your battery or charger is not functioning properly, contact the dealer where you purchased the unit. They can replace it under warranty.
Best regards.
We currently have a fleet
At our repair shop we use a very mld cleaner that we get at a local "dollar" store. I think because it is so cheap it isn't strong enough to hurt anything. We spray them from afar with a light mist and then use a old toothbrush to scrub tough areas.

The constant green light generally means the radio is in receive mode, or is receiving a transmission. You might check your antenna to be certain it is properly attached, is free from defect, and is seated properly in the antenna port. Also, just for test purposes, try your radio at different volume settings, as the on/off volume potentiometer might have a shorted or dead spot.
If none of the above solve the problem, your radio is likely in need of repair. (Typically around
$69 flat rate) If your radio is still under warranty (1 year) return it to the dealer where you purchased it for warranty.
Best regards.
I need help to dismantle a motorola radius sp10 2 way radio
Remove the battery, slip a small screw driver into the slot at the bottom of the radio between the outer housing and the battery tray, gently pry up. If your radio has a pair of battery contacts on the exterior they will come up with the tray. Be gentle, and do not disturb the Mylar ribbon that runs down the back of the tray. Once the tray is removed, using a frame removal tool (shaped like a squared letter U) you slip the tool in the channels on either side of the radio where you removed the battery tray. Then slide the tool upward until it meets the two plastic ears. The tool will slip under the ears and using your tool you can push the component board out the top of the housing. If your radio has an 8-dip-switch private line board, you may want to watch you do not damage or dislodge it in the process.
What software is required to program a motorola cp125
Motorola programming software is proprietary to them, radio dealers must pay for a subscription to each software. You would need a programming cable, radio interface box (RIB), and RVN4196 software subscription. Your radio should be programmable at your local dealer for a reasonable fee.best regards
Can the Motorola factory replace the battery in the H730 headset?
It is possible to have the battery in your Motorola H730 headset replaced, but it would likely need to be done by a third-party repair service as the battery is not typically user-replaceable.
Motorola does not offer an official repair service for the H730 headset, so you may need to find a third-party repair service that specializes in repairing Bluetooth headsets. Be aware that third-party repairs may void any remaining warranty on the device.
You can also consider purchasing a new headset if you prefer not to have it repaired.
I have two older Motorola Walkies Talkabout FR60 wont send or receive and a T5820 with the rubber broken off the antenna is is cost feasible to fix or not
I believe for the FR60 walkie-talkies, if they are not sending or receiving, the issue could be related to the antenna, battery, or internal components. You can try replacing the batteries and/or antennas to see if that resolves the issue.
As for the T5820 walkie-talkie, if the rubber on the antenna is broken, it's likely that the antenna itself is also damaged. In this case, you can try replacing the antenna with a new one. Antennas are typically available for purchase online or at electronics stores.
In terms of cost, repairing older walkie-talkies like these may not always be cost-effective. If the repairs are extensive or require replacement of major components, it may be more practical to purchase new walkie-talkies instead.
Below are options of the options of walkie-talkies you can buy;
Motorola sliver headset won't power on even when the green lights are solid
There are a few things you can try to troubleshoot this issue with your Motorola Silver headset not powering on:
- Make sure that the headset is fully charged by connecting it to the charger for at least 30 minutes.
- Check the battery contacts in the headset and charger to ensure that they are clean and free of debris.
- Try resetting the headset by holding down the power button for 15 seconds.
- Try a different charger or charging cable to see if that resolves the issue.
- Make sure that the headset is not in pairing mode.
- Check the headset manual for any information regarding troubleshoot, or if there are any specific instructions for turning on the headset.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a problem with the headset itself and you may need to contact Motorola for further assistance.
Please note that the information provided is based on my knowledge cut-off date and it may not be current.
Can you use the Motorola XPR 4550 as a police scanner?
The Motorola XPR 4550 is a two-way radio, not a scanner. Scanners are devices that can listen to a wide range of frequencies, whereas two-way radios are designed for communication between a limited number of specific devices on specific frequencies. However, you can use a scanner to listen to the frequency that the Motorola XPR 4550 is transmitting on.
Motorola XTL5000. encoding is working but decoding is not. If you encode a different tone on another radio it still hears it.

05/94 error on 05 control head
Hi,This error message indicates an incorrect connection from main radio and your remote head, Check that you have installed correctly and that all plugs and fittings are snug and not loose.Otherwise, the remote is cactus, that could be another issue, try without the remote and see if the radio works, the answer lies in either of those.Hope this helps you.Cheers,Peter
