With posi-temp cartridges, if one supply of water, hot or cold, is interrupted, the cartridge automatically restricts the flow of the other water source. This is to prevent you from getting scalded if the pressure on the cold side drops because of a toilet being flushed or any other uses of cold water. The cartridge will only allow cold water to flow through if there is hot water to balance it out. If you restore hot water to the faucet, it will operate properly.

There should be screws that when tightened, will push against the metal flange that rests against the underside of the sink thereby pulling the faucet down and tightening it. Good luck!

HOW TO FIX MOEN KITCHEN FAUCET SIDE SPRAYER CLOG

If it is simply clogged, soak the head in vinegar for an hour and use a brush to clean the scale from the spray head. Instructions if your sprayer has failed: To repair your moen sprayer, first pick up Moen part # 91192 diverter and a Moen #117 spout o-ring set. Remove the cap on handle, remove the screw on the interior cap and remove handle. Your spout can now be removed by pulling it straight up. Here is a pic of the part. Slide the diverter up and off the faucet post. Remove the two o-rings from the post and install only one large one and one small one onto post making sure to grease them with the silicone provided. The other small oring is for faucets without the spray. Discard it. Slide the new divertor down onto the post and reassemble the spout and handle assemblies. Make sure to properly engage the flat on the handle into the groove on the retainer nut when reinstalling. Good luck!

My moen kitchen faucet drips incessantly. My plumber said I needed to replace the faucet so I bought a new one. I Can I mail you the broken one for reimbursement?

Actually mowen faucets are guaranteed for life. Unfortunately the problem with yours was probably just a rubber seal. Warranty covers most all of the parts but not normally the two dollar seals. You can contact them I to ask for a replacement make sure you have the model number. You won't get a refund but you may get a replacement. They replaced my bathroom spout for free.

I would like to change out a Phisher Price shower to a Moen shower. What is involved and is this something that I can do? Or do I need to call in some help?

Hey, Are you wanting to swap shower heads or all the shower hardware?? ..PUT A WASH RAG/TOWEL OVER THE DRAIN BEFORE YOU START - PREVENT ANYTHING FROM GOING DOWN THE DRAIN YOU MIGHT NEED LATER!!.. If its just the shower head.. no problem.. The shower head just unscrews...(might need a small crescent wrench or pliers) .. and the new one should just screw on....a couple rounds of white thread tape will prevent leaks.. If you are wanting to change the other hardware... this will be hard to direct because we cannot see how they are installed... some have screws under the caps, some have set screws in the bottom of the handles...for the ones with screws under the caps.. the caps have a notch to facilitate popping of the caps.. the screw will be visible.. the set screw hole will be visible on the others.. Good luck.. http://www.homedepot.com/p/1-2-in-x-520-in-Thread-Seal-Tape-31273/202206819

Moen water flow restricted and only warm

Not sure about your particular valve, but most newer shower valves have an anti-scald limiter that stops the handle from turning too far to the hot water side. Check for a ring or a pin under the handle that can be set in different positions. It will need to be moved clockwise to allow the handle to rotate farther to hot. Hope that helps. If you have trouble finding it, try looking up a diagram for the valve model.

Clip will not come loose from kitchen facent moen 7100 to remove carttridge

If you didn't open the faucet to relieve the pressure, the cartridge is pushing up against the clip. Making sure that the valves under the kitchen sink are closed, and open the faucet to relieve the pressure. There is usually a hole at the end of the clip which you can stick an awl into to help removal. Good luck! P.S. Make sure to note which side of the brass spindle has the notch on it. It should be either facing you, or it should face away. If you put it in wrong, you will reverse the hot and cold. If this happens, simply remove the handle and rotate the spindle 180 degrees to reverse it back.
