2004 Mitsubishi Lancer se will not start and blows engine control fuse when I try to start it. What do I do?

If your 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer SE is blowing the engine control fuse when you attempt to start it, it indicates a serious electrical problem in the engine control system. When the fuse blows, it's a sign of an electrical short or excessive current draw, which can cause damage to the components or wiring. Here are the steps you can take to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue: Check the Fuse Rating: Ensure you are using the correct fuse with the proper amperage rating. Using the wrong fuse can lead to blowing the fuse even under normal conditions. Inspect Wiring and Components: Look for any visible signs of damaged or exposed wiring, loose connections, or burnt components around the engine control system. Pay attention to areas where the wiring harness may be exposed to heat or rubbing against other parts. Disconnect Accessories: If there are any aftermarket accessories or devices connected to the engine control circuit, disconnect them temporarily and see if the issue persists. Some accessories may be drawing excessive current and causing the fuse to blow. Scan for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs): Use an OBD-II scanner to check for any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored in the engine control module (ECM). This might give you a clue about the specific problem or the component causing the issue. Inspect the Starter Motor: The starter motor could be faulty and drawing too much current, causing the fuse to blow. Have the starter motor checked for proper operation and electrical connections. Check Sensors and Actuators: Various sensors (e.g., crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor) and actuators (e.g., fuel injectors, ignition coils) are part of the engine control system. Check these components for proper function and any signs of damage.

1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT radio won't let me enter the radio code I already have

If you are unable to enter the radio code you already have for your 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT, there may be a few possible reasons and solutions:
  1. Check if the radio is locked: Sometimes, a radio may have a security feature that locks it if incorrect codes are entered multiple times. If this is the case, you will have to leave the radio turned on for a certain period (usually between 30 minutes to a few hours) to reset the security lockout. Once the lockout period is over, you should be able to enter the code again.
  2. Verify the radio code: Double-check that you have the correct radio code for your specific vehicle model. It's possible that there might be a mistake in the code you initially obtained.
  3. Check if the radio code is compatible: In some cases, a radio may be replaced or swapped with a different model, which may require a different code. Ensure that the code you have is for the original factory-installed radio and not a replacement.
  4. Seek professional assistance: If all else fails, it may be best to consult a professional car audio technician or visit a Mitsubishi dealership. They will have the necessary tools and expertise to diagnose and resolve any issues with the radio code entry process.
Keep in mind that different car models and radio systems may have slight variations in the process, so it's always a good idea to consult the vehicle's manual or contact an authorized dealer for specific instructions related to your 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT.

Where is the fuel pump rest button on my 2000 Mitsubishi eclipse

No where only Ford had it no one else The Eclipse (and all Mitsubishis actually) does not use a fuel pump shut off switch. That is a Ford innovation specifically that is not really used outside that brand for the most part. The safety mechanism on the Eclipse for the fuel pump is the engine crank sensor. The fuel pump only runs when it sees RPM signal from the crank sensor. The purpose for this is that if you are in an accident that was significant enough to cause a fuel leak, the lack of fuel would cause the engine to shut off, which would thereby shut off the fuel pump preventing fuel from pumping all over the place. If you have no fuel pump operation, first make sure you are checking for power to the fuel pump while cranking. It does not have any constant or key-on power, it does not work that way. If you have power but no pump operation, the pump is likely failed (though this is rare). If you do not have power while cranking, check to see if you have spark.... if there is no spark either, double check your fuses first then if all are OK suspect the crank sensor is faulty. If you do have spark, then you would want to carefully check your wiring, relay, etc for damage. Realistically... 95% of "fuel pump problems" are failed or low quality aftermarket crank sensors on these cars. They get towed in all the time with brand new fuel pumps from other shops when all they needed was a crank sensor

2001 Pajero air conditioning leaking in passengers side floor wet. Can't find the leaking hose or drain. Thank you.

Yes blocked. Drain tube will cause this problem, its a bit hard to see but you need to at the firewall behind the engine for a small plastic tube, inserting a wire up into the opening should clear it. or blow air though it , Water siting around the AC evaporator can turn acid and cause the core to fail.

I have a Mitsubishi TV LT-55154 with no picture it has sound but no picture. The green light is solid.

If your Mitsubishi TV LT-55154 has no picture but has sound and the green light is solid, there are a few potential causes for this issue:
  1. Faulty backlight: The backlight in your TV is responsible for illuminating the screen. If the backlight is not functioning properly, it can result in a black screen while still producing sound. You can try shining a flashlight on the screen at different angles to check if you can see any faint images. If you can, it indicates a backlight issue. In such cases, the backlight unit may need to be replaced. Contact a professional technician or the manufacturer's support for further assistance.
  2. Loose or damaged cables: Check that all the cables connecting your TV to external devices (such as cable/satellite boxes, DVD players, or gaming consoles) are securely plugged in. Ensure that there are no loose connections or damaged cables, as this can lead to a loss of video signal.
  3. Incorrect input/source selection: Make sure that the TV is set to the correct input or source that corresponds to the device you want to watch. Use the TV remote to cycle through the available input options and see if the picture appears on any of them.
  4. Display settings: It's possible that the display settings on your TV have been inadvertently adjusted or misconfigured. Check the TV's menu options for any settings related to picture or display, such as brightness, contrast, or picture mode. Resetting these settings to their default values might help resolve the issue.
  5. Hardware malfunction: In some cases, a hardware malfunction within the TV, such as a faulty video processing unit or mainboard, can cause a loss of picture. In such situations, it's recommended to contact a professional technician or the manufacturer's support for further troubleshooting and potential repairs.
Remember to exercise caution when working with electronics, and if you are unsure about any steps or lack the technical expertise, it's best to seek professional assistance to avoid causing further damage to your TV.
