Ok the i got a problem the buttions for my monitor

mcdevito75 here, Thru the control panel, click start, the control panel, then display options, Brightness and volume. Most likely you"ll need another monitor as adjustments from your computer only are limited.

Do not know what plug ins to attach to computer

It's very likely what you call the flat plug is the video cable. (Picture #1) below. The corresponding cable looks like (Picture #2). The other cable (A/C) by elimination plugs into an electrical outlet. Are you seeing a cable other then this one coming out of the back of monitor? d82bfa4.jpg697a779.jpg

Diamond Plus 91 monitor

Have you tried a different cable? It could be broken.
On my Plus 91 with special software (Powerstrip) I can get the refresh rate up to 119Hz at 1024 x 768, but I use 1280 x 960 at 96Hz as it's the highest res I want to use for prolonged periods of time as 96Hz doesn't give me eyestrain no matter how long I stare at this thing.

Color temperature for the monitor

I have mine on 9300K. The whites seem whiter to me rather than the yellowy tint at lower temps.

Power button won't latch on. Monitor powers up if

Replace the  power switch. If you can't find a replacement part open the case and solder the connections of the switch so they will be permanently on. You can place a new switch on the power cable.

Mitsubishi diamond pro 700 problems with screen pixles shrinking

Your monitor is overheated and has blown the tube. The only way to fix it is to throw it away and get a new one. Your not supposed to leave your monitor on all the time especially with a game just paused on the screen.

Mitsubishi diamond pro says "no signal"?

You have tried the monitor on more than one known good computer, yes?

I believe about 4" inside this monitor in the back the vga cable or connector connects to a board with an in-line connector. Can you see if this connector (internal to the monitor) in connected?

Good luck...
