Try this........Please use the following sequence to clear the "cleaning lock" mode.
1. Switch the appliance off.
2. Touch pad Clear and hold.
3. Release pad Clear.
4. Touch pad Clear 5 times and at the 5th time, hold it until the programming mode appears.Programming.
This must be completed within 10 seconds or it will not work.
You should get an acknowlegment indicator. The display shows the positions of the programming mode Programming.
1. Touch the pad next to Reset Cleaning
2. Select yes
The cleaning lock should be lifted.
3. Select touch pad on/off
I have just given mine yet another thump with my fist on the stuck side and this time it slid backwards. I promised it that I would be more gentle in pulling it out in future.
Draw or photo the button order.Remove flue canopy. Unplug the control cable. You require the bracket kit from Miele. unclip the circuit board from the broken retainer. Do not lose the buttons. Clean the inside of the cover beyond throughly with metho and then sand paper. Assemble the button assembly and then with contact glue, fit in place. Use the foil tape to reinforce the bracket along each side.
That is just a reminder based on operating time to clean the filters. Just hold your finger on the clean filter button for 10 seconds to reset it, as per the operators manual.
Destall the unit. Unplug it from the power then just undo the screws on the side. A bracket with the switch mechanism will come out and just fit the new switch to that. They had iffy switches and often replaced under warranty. Miele is always improving it's parts so any replacement parts do not have the same issue.
