Miele lights are factory specific with odd power ratings not available in the US. Call Miele Parts Support for a replacement bulb. It is a consumable item no warranty. They may charge up to 70.00 dollars for a halogen bulb so be ready!

Hello,
I have not bought this hood,yet im falmliar with Miele appliances and have found them to be the cream of the crop,its hard to beat the German engineering and among the top German brands. Miele/Bosch/Gaggenau Meile is the best, its like cars a BMW is a fine car but MERCEDES BENZ is so much better,in my oponion Meile is the Mercedes of appliances.

Yes The ball bearing can be replaced.You can't replace it.Only a technician can do it.Since the ball bearing winds up inside coil of the fan motor.There is no part no for this.They do it in all types of motor repairing service centre.It will cost very less.They will charge for the bearing and service.

You need to get a meter and actually see if there isn't any Voltage in the actual socket, if NOT then you need to check for continuity, from the main feed into the unit and the socket connection, (Do this POWER OFF) It may be a loose or bad, connection. Also check, you are using the correct bulbs, ensure you replace with exactly the same Voltage and Wattage, usually it is written on the bulb, if not a simple resistance test, and some maths, will tell you the wattage. Using a multimeter set to OHMS you measure the filament in the bulb, and take the answer, RESISTANCE OHMS and divide that into your mains VOLTAGE, then taking that answer from that AMPS, and, taking that answer of the AMPS, and now multiplying by the same VOLTAGE we get our WATTS. Formulae, V/R=A, AxV=W

Get a 5" to 6" adapter and vent out with 6". Your localhome center should have all the necessary parts to complete vent installation.
