How to open my hood on the outside of my S320 2000

it can be the battery ,, yes the battery is down and car won't start because of that , shifter can be moved by inserting pin inside the hall (beside the shifter). if you have more details about your problem ,please post it here , this might help to solve your car problem

Mercedes-Benz SL 55 ,2005, I have 2010 MB Nag1 in my jeep.THAT IS CLASSIC TRANSMISSION FAILURE.only why remains, here is my 80year tranny fix page on car. fixesit is no pure HydramaticMy USA car, list of tests on any box. (generic)the A/T box (automatic transmission)from 1939 to now over 80 years now installed in GM cars first USA.They changed radially over that time. pure Hydramatic to....then in 1996 GM went from Hydramatic to 4l60E BOX. the E MEANS ELECTRONICALLY SHIFTED VIA TCM/TCU OR PCM BRAINS.for 2.5_ decades now we run E boxes and is so common GM removed the "E" today.but is the same box.there are only 2 paths here.(diagnosis) a new box or do all things that can be done on car.So I will now list all ON CAR things.(most)1: check all fuses. (after all power lost to the TCM would make it fail)2: check ATF level on the dip stick per the glove box guide, (hot engine/trans) in PARK, running and DIP checked)Do not overfill the box or doomed it is, or it foams up and STARVES bearings in the box, RTM always read the guide.3:Next up is the OBD2 scan tool (2008 and newer is best) and we connect to DLC 16pin port and scan for P07xx errors.4:GOT DTC errors, then look them up, they tell you speed sensors are bad, even 3 of them or 6 A/T solenoids are bad.Or DTC for gear selector errors (PRNDL, TRS or P/N switch fails) 5:Okay, most sensors and solenoids can be replaced on car, just pan off. (varies) some speed sensors are super easy to change.6:So far no JOY, well the Tranny service manual shows how to use a PSI GAUGE at the pump and pressure ports. in all gears and N/P7:learn too that the TCM can go to limphome mode, that skips gears, even all but 1 gear too.DTC will be set.never do'snever mix ATF brands and grades.never over-fill the box, start with 1/2 max (dry box volume) and work jump to full hot.If you drain a box all you get there is 1/2 the AFT other 1/2 is in the TC clutch. so measure what came out and put back the same in quarts or liters.or go to any oil changing shop find the shop with full flush tranny machined, and bingo done right. Mixing brands or old and new ATF is wackoon a new or rebuilt dry box , add 1 qt of ATF to the clutch TC drive collar first, and 1/2 normal to pan the work up.never start a transmission that is dry. (means start engine)Pre 1996 cars:On old pure Hydramatic failure on car fixes are:step2 and 6 above! checked.TV cable bad, stuck out (rusted) will case huge delayed shifts even stuck at 2nd gear moving fast. (throttle valve)Vacuum modulator seen on box. air ride system is leaking

My air intake hose is popping off near the throttle body and code p1234 comes up

P0794 (not Po794) is a code that indicates an erratic speed sensor (sensor "A") input from the transmission shaft. This can mean the transmission is slipping or the sensor is defective, testing will tell the difference. It has nothing to do with the engine. P0793 (not Po0793) is the same basic fault code as P0794, a erratic output from the shaft speed sensor "A". P0093 (not po0093) Fuel System Large Leak Detected, this means the fuel tank doesn't hold pressure. There are many reasons for this condition, it takes special testing to determine the actual cause

Unfortunately, these Mercedes codes are not available anywhere on the Net for free. However, you can get these codes from the serial number here. I have always found them cheap and reliable.

They will email the code right back to you on the same day and I can vouch for them as I use this site for units I repair that occassionally need a code.

Most of the time the cd changer will need to be replaced. Your only chance is to do a power reset to the cd changer. pull the fuse for 15 seconds, re-insert and see if the changer reboots correctly. The fuse chart is behind the triangular panel on the left side of the drivers side dash panel

Map sensor problems are more common on certain models. As far as engine computer sensor reliability this is one of the sensors that appear to be more reliable overall. But on a few models poor mounting location chosen by the factory may reduce its reliability.You can use BMW scanner to check the problem

Check for power with a test light(not a dvom) at the tail lamp assembly. Test right at the spot where the bulb socket sits. If you have power then i would check the connection tab on the bulb socket itself for pits or corroded tabs. If you do not have power present at test point then double check the fuse chart and see if it says 'electronic' instead of having a fuse amp rating for the tail lamps. If it says electronic for any of the light circuits then it means their is no external fuse that can be replaced and the problem is most likely internal of the headlight switch. Since the headlight switch is actually a power source for the lights. I would start there at this point. Let me know what you find and if you need anything else just let me know

Make sure you have good batteries in your key fob. Also, there is a trunk, lock, and unlock relay. If anyone of those are bad you can have this problem.

You will need the dealer to scan the system for faults, no other solution.

They are reliable if well maintained

Most cars and trucks can be re-set by disconnecting the negative batery cable for about 10 minutes...this should auto re-set to factory specs...if the light comes back on, you have wired into the wrong system. Hope this helps.

There should be a fuse chart in the trunk of the vehicle where the tools are. Lift up the carpet in the trunk to expose the tools. It should be all folded up and stuffed in with the tool to remove the lug bolts. The chart will show the fuse and fuse box locations.
