The disk is write protected how can I remove it
The Mac OS cannot write to a NTFS formatted drive. If you want to use the drive on both PC and Mac, you will need to format it to FAT32. If you are going to use it only on Mac, then format it HFS+.

Disassemble drive
You probably need to contact a disk recovery specialist such as DATA365. http://www.datastor.net.au

CD spins but will not play
This will be due to the cd drive not being able to 'read' the disk correctly. Make sure the CD is spotless look for finger prints or scratches, if there are none, look to invest in a cd drive cleaning disk, ideally one with little bristles. Cd drives are relatively cheap though consider replacing it. Try other CD's..

Asus laptop dvd drive not working
Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to cd/dvd rom
you might see a yellow question/exclamation ? !or a red X right click to update driver
only do the registry check if you cant see the drive/s in windows explorer/my computer
or it might be a registry problem
Close all open programs
Click on Start, Run, and typeregedit and press Enter
Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SYSTEM
CurrentControlSet
Control
Class
{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.
Upper Filters
Lower Filters
Upper Filters.bak
Lower Filters.bak
If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete
After deleting the keys, close the registry editor
Reboot your computerOpen My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

I cannot get my Memorex 64GB USB flash drive to
Trouble shooting steps I would probably take: 1) Power cycle the computer (unplugged), and try it again, when it is COMPLETELY booted.2) unplug it and plug it into a different port(s).4) Try it on a different computer (both PC and MAC, as it could be a formatting issue) (if it doesn't work, entertain the reality that I may have lost everything and may have to format the drive and/or buy a new one)
Show hidden files
Maybe, they're not stored at the Memorex-disc, but at your local disc. There's a map at your C-drive, where Windows stores -by default- your images. Best is to open a program which you use to store pictures at your computer. Try to store a new image, and see where Windows is storing this.If in the other case it's indeed stored at the Memorex drive, go to this drive and right-click with your mouse. A pop-up-screen will be shown, where your can select the tab "properties". A new window will pop-up, where you can see some specs about it. Try to find the "attributes"-section. There you can see if a map is indeed hidden or not.Actually I doubt it, the map with pictures is hidden or read-protected. These options are most of the time just used for specific maps where a user should not go to mess around. like the "Windows"-map or "Documents and Settings"-map.

Delete hidden files
Rebecca, if you want help you really have to provide details. Nobody knows what you mean by "hidden files". Here is what "Hidden Files" are in Windows: when you enter Explore, then go go Windows \ System 32 you will get a message in the Right hand part of the screen, "These Files Are Hidden....." You can choose to expose them, or leave them hidden. If you delete any of those Hidden Files you will nuke your operating system since those are very critical system files that Windows uses. I don't know if you mean those or something else.
