Where can I find a Megavision MV173 LCA01F "monitor to computer" connection cord?

Isn't it a VGA cable?(15 pins-3 rows of 5 pins,slightly staggered.There is a 15 pin D-sub connector(2 rows of pins)-usually for extending a joystick cord on a PC.

Pix on screen for abour

Did you try this monitor with another PC yet and also check the VGA cable?
Most failure in the LCD monitors are due to bad DC filter caps as you can see in my pictures here:

Capacitors kit: http://lcdalternatives.auctivacommerce.com/ he can make you a set of caps for you. Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

The monitor goes dark within a few seconds of

Try replacing the power cable. (assuming that the monitor has not lights when it turns off) After replacing the power cable if that doesnt work try a different outlet.
If there are lights try seeing if you can replace the data cable from the monitor to the computer. If that doesnt work then you will want to look into getting a replacement.
