First make sure the exhaust vent is clean. If too much heat is detected the thermostat switch will shut down. Could have been a bad connection at the plug.

Usually, there is a bolt that holds the agitator on. If you remove the cap off the center of the agitator, you should find a bolt underneath that you can tighten back down. Adding a little thread lock to the bolt wont hurt.

I have the dishwasher working again. Now I have a problem because while checking things out I took out the pump sump support bracket part w10300599 and I don't know where to put it back in. Does anyone have a picture of this installed?

If the belt has grooves cut into it, then the grooved side goes onto the drum, and the flat side facing uppermost.

i havent worked on washing machines before as people usually dont bother to fix them and rather buy a new one.

however how wedged in is it? could you try prying with a screwdriver? (with the power off just to be safe) and as soon as you get it loose and removed try and insert it in a way it doesnt get stuck and goes in and out freely

To reset those you need to interrupt the power to the unit, you can do this by finding the breaker it is on and turning it off for a minute or two. Then try again and let us know
