Air Switch Repair It sounds like you have a bad air switch located in your motor. The air switch is what the air hose connects to on the back of the motor or on the box on top of the motor. The other end of the air hose is connected to the air button on the lip of the tub. This is a latching air switch and when you push the air button it latches to send power to the motor. When the air button is pushed again it opens the latch in the air switch and stops power going to the motor shutting it off. Bath tub heaters will only maintain the water temperature in the bath. They will only heat the water approximately 1-2 degrees an hour. Whatever water temperature you start with is what you will be able to maintain. There is a red indicator light on the front of each heater indicating whether or not there is power to the unit when the tub is full of water and the water pump is turned on. If there is a red light on then it has power to it and is working. This heater will never feel warm to the touch. There are three different styles of Bath Heaters available.

• Tee Heater - installs on the discharge fitting on the pump
• In-line Pressure - installs anywhere in the plumbing line before any jet.
• In-line Vacuum Heater - installs before the suction of the pump

If the heater you purchased is installed in the wrong place it will not operate. Rod US Parts Center

If your pump is just humming this is an indication of a bad motor. You will need to provide the name of the pump and a model number to the supplier so they can match up the exact replacement for you so you won't have to re-plumb to put it back in. Rod US Parts Center

On the backside of the light lens is where the light bulb is changed. There is usually a white fitting that houses the lamp in a socket fitting. Get to the backside of light fitting and you can change the bulb. Rod US Parts Center

The faucets on your Pearl tub do not come from Pearl. They were supplied by the local plumber who installed the tub. Go to your local plumbing store and match up what you have. Rod US Parts Center

The breaker the manual is referring to will be the main circuit breaker at the panel. If the system is not running the purge cycle as it is supposed to and turning the power on and off does not reset the control box then it is likely that the control box has a bad part in the circuity and should be replaced. Most topside panels are just stuck on the top of the tub with a double sided tape. Sometimes it can be held into place with a nut on the underside that must be unthreaded to remove the top panel. Rod US Parts Center 888-521-6183
