Same happening to me. The solution is to try it in a different USB port, as it is a USB related issue.

No it will be cheaper to just replace the camera.

Unfortunately, Logitech has chosen not to support this camera under Windows Vista or Windows 7. Thus there are no current drivers for Win7. There is a way to install your camera if you have Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate: install the XP mode (a virtual computer). Install the camera to the virtual computer. You may need to save the files to an external media to share them between the two "machines".

You need the software on the cd rom that came with yor camera. I quote from the manual: turn on the computer-plug the USB cable into the camera-plug the other cable end into a USB port on the computer-the image download window displays on the computer screen-use the software's browser function to choose the folder in which you would-be like to save your pictures-click Ok to download the images. Hope it works!
