not installed correctly get in an electrician for the job

Did you have any power surges in the house? Any thunder storms?? even if you are not using a microwave, but it is plugged in , you see the clock?? That means it is getting power and running the clock so while you may not be cooking in it, it is actually using power to run the clock functions. So, if there was a power surge, it damages a part on the main board called the Low voltage transformer. It takes the 120 volts from the wall and drops it down to the voltages the board needs to operate, sometimes 5,12 24 or maybe 30 volts. If the primnary winding gets damaged from a surge of some sort. it will no longer light up if that small transformer was damaged. That can happen without even blowing the fuse as the small wires in the transformer were never meant to carry the 15 or 20 amps the fuse is rated at. So the transformer goes bad and the unit is dead but no blown fuse. Have to check the primary winding of the low volt transformer to see if it has continuity. If not, will need new main circuit board. Sorry But $$$$$

could be anything from a bad mag or door switch or even a bad connection at the mag. Need more details. Any odd sounds??? A louder more pronounced humming sound??? Bad smells?? etc

It sounds to me as though the magnetron ( the heart of the microwave) is bad. It draws a lot of current when it is bad. Very expensive repair !

When removing a bad bulb ALWAYS unplug the unit. If there is power going to the bulb and when you try to take the bad bulb out and the glass seperates from the bottom base the leads will short out and you will blow your main curcuit board. Then the entire board must be replaced. It will blow out a component on the board or blow a trace off of the back of the board. either way either baord repair or replacement will be needed. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE UNIT WHEN REPLACING A BULB!!!!

Check the fuse. Also check out the safety switch by the unit door. If not closed when door is closed, no power is applied to either the turntable or the tube.

There si a sensor on the bottom of those Micros that is supposed to turn the fan on when it closes, meaning it is hot, then opening when it cools back down. I expect you have a bad thermal sensor. I have very seldom found these to go bad. Another thing that can cause it is a bad door switch back feeding voltage where it is not supposed to. It will make the fan that cools the magnetron run until the bad switch is replaced.

"Locke" meaning the door? or locked meaning the buttons don't work? If it is the buttons then you have the child lock on. Push and hold the "Start" button for 4 to 5 seconds, and it will unlock.
