I just experienced this problem myself. What helped me was cleaning out the lint trap. My guess is that the until sucks in air through there, then conditions it. Blows the cold air out the top, and hot air out the tube. When it can't suck a decent amount of air in, the condenser can only condense so much of that limited amount of air. When it runs out, the unit just runs the fan until enough air has been condensed.

My lint trap was filthy, hadnt Bern cleaned in years. Soon as I popped it off, the unit started belching out cold air nonstop. Clean your lint traps! Don't make my mistake!

Check for proper condensate drainage. Make sure the drain pan and drain tube isn't clogged with debris and check for mold inside the unit. Check that the blower wheel is clean as well.

Here is an answer from official LG site: The CH05 error message means you have an indoor / outdoor unit communication error. It can be caused by any of the following issues:

• No power on indoor unit
• Indoor/outdoor unit power connection error / communication line not installed
• Communication error caused by external noise
• Indoor/outdoor unit communication circuit parts burned.

In my opinion if it works for some time and then shows the error it may be communication error caused by external noise. You should contact the trained technician to deal with that problem.

I posted the answer as a comment but the problem is the drain pan is under the cold radiator which is on top and it drains over the hot radiator which in turn drains into the pan that will hold water. When the top pan gets jammed up from lent then it drains down the other side of the hot radiator and it goes all over the floor. See the comments I put on the first answer. I posted this because I too bought a brand new Automotive aluminum pan until I figured this out

The "CO" indicates cleaning operation and can be switched of via remote button under flap, labelled AUTO CLEAN.

There are many things of which could have happened. For the best and (hopefully) quickest results, contact your local technician specialist or the company of whom built your window unit. If this does not work, try looking at the help and FAQ pages on multiple business's sites to see how others solved similar problems as well. If you prefer to see it for yourself, try searching on YouTube of how to fix your situation at home. Hope this helps!

It appears to be an error 22. According to the LG bible, it means an overcurrent protection has activated. In most cases, unplug the machine or switch off from power supply for at least 15 minutes, it should reset the main control board. If this doesn't work , it may have damaged the board. Alternatively, if your machine is on 3 phase, check that all fuses / circuit breakers in your meter box are OK and switched on. You may have a weak or disconnected power supply.

Same happened with my AC. I read it online to be an issue with low voltage. I just unplugged the power cord and replugged it again, and it worked.
