Press Ctrl and PrntScr together. That will grab the screen then open your document programme, (Open Office, Word or whatever you use to compile letters etc) press Ctrl and V.

This process should cover most laptops, not only the Lenovo.
If the laptop is no longer under guarantee, you could undo some screws below the laptop, in line with the keyboard, to loosen it. Then gently lift the keyboard from the laptop and replug the wire strip to the keyboard. Take care not to break the plastic logs, if any. This process will ensure the wiring for lighting makes proper contact. Gently place the keyboard back, making sure the wire strip is in its position where the keyboard doesn't press onto it.
