From Windows 7 and up, for all hardware that is certified with Microsoft, you can download the drivers from Microsoft. Lots of hardware is recognised when connected and will initiate a download from Microsoft. But not all hardware will do so and not all hardware is compatible (same as not certified by Microsoft from Windows 7 and up) with the new operating systems. Most things that worked fine with Windows XP and or Vista, can fail with Windows 7 and 8, because the factory that made the hardware in the first place does not ask for certification with Microsoft for their old Hardware. They only spend time and money to get their new hardware certified on the new operating systems. So to make sure your hardware is compatible with the OS. Check the manual and find out, what you have to do so it will work on your computer. There is no special Lenovo driver, unless the hardware in your laptop is made by Lenovo. In that case the driver will be on your computer after you installed Windows 7. Perhaps you call something a driver but need something else?

If you have not made a let it load and select system restore point on your computer it will be difficult. You must make a system repair disk or put in any Windows cd. Let it load and go farenough to the screen repair or restore computer. You also can do it by turning on your pc and hit F8 Immediately tapping till you hear a beep, then go to system restore. If you don not see last month, you can select see more restore points. Then select the date you want .( should be like a critical update point)

First, is the computer coming on, do you hear the boot up beeps and sounds. if that is happening, try another monitor, if that works, buy a new one, if that does not work, repalce the video card. if none of that works, take the machine to a local shop for analisis. This might remotely be caused by a virus, but if you are using a good virus protection, it should have caught it.

That's because you made an overlay installation most likely, I mean trying to upgrade XP instead of installing W7 from scratch, which is best solution by far while of course you need to have a previous backup of your data. Right now, if you have data you would like to save, what you can do is create a Linux disk with another PC, which might be Ubuntu. Start your PC and click on "I want to test Linux without installing anything", this will allow you access your data and do a proper backup before moving on. Once done this, simply start with your W7 DVD once again and try install windows but removing previous OS, everything from scratch. It should work. Good luck!

Check to see if you have pressed the Num Lock key. it might be stuck, in whihc case you can try pressing it repeatedly and possibly spraying compressed air and/or electonics cleaner under the keys.

Sounds like a mechanical problem. Check the cable between the laptop & the projector - sometimes a wire is broken, removing a single colour from the image. Make sure that it is connected properly & if that doesn't fix it, try another cable.

Usually one of the F keys will get you into the bios. Try F8, F10 or F12. Reboot the computer soon as it starts booting up keep tapping on the F8 key if its the right one the bios screen will appear, if its not it will just boot up in windows. Shut it down and try it again using the F10 key, etc, until you get the bios screen to come up.
