you may have to check your user manual they may have a default pass word code.

To set the time / date stamp you'll need your remote control and you'll need to hook it to a TV with AV inputs. Be sure to correctly select the AV input the camera is plugged into. This is the most overlooked step that causes a lot of users frustration.I've attached a YouTube video on how to accomplish the time/date setting.
