I took all the screws
After taking out all the screws usually you would need to remove the dial knobs on the unit and after removing them use a flat head screwdriver to pry the unit open as always the screws are just there to act as support for the holding of the unit together. Usually they are held with clips in place to hold the entire unit apart from the screws. So get a small flat screwdriver put it in the space where the unit is supposed to split in 2 and pry it open slowly to avoid cable disconnections.

How do I clean inside the toaster? Not just the
You can't clean the inside without a real possibility of damaging the element(s). Hold it upside down over the sink or outside and shake to remove all the stubborn bits. If you poke around inside you will most likely damage it. If you decide to ignore my advice then don't forget to DISCONNECT it first or you risk electric shock!
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
