My best guess is that you have a faulty charge unit. Try swapping the units around with another colour and see if the fault code shifts.

Clean unit fan failure to turn (When CU-101 is installed). The fan lock signal remains HIGH for a predetermined continuous period of time while the fan is turning.

1. Check the connector between CUDB CN1-MFPB CN32E for proper connection and correct as necessary. 2. Check the connector between FM14-CUDB CN3, FM15-CUDB CN2, FM16-relay CN183-CUDB CN4 for proper connection and correct as necessary. 3. Check the fan for possible overload and correct as necessary. 4. FM14, FM15, FM16 operation check • Load check: Check code42, Multi code 4 • Control signal: CUDB CN3 (FM14), CUDB CN2 (FM15), CUDB CN4 (FM16) • Location of electrical component: 14-X 5. Replace the defective fan. (FM14 / FM15 / FM16) 6. Replace CUDB. 7. MFPB ICP14E conduction check 8. Replace MFPB.

Most likely you received this message after a toner was replaced. Reseat the cartridge and restart the printer. If that doesn't work remove all of the toner cartridges manually and reinstall. Turn off the printer and open the top cover. Follow the toner cartridge all the way to the right side of the printer (on the white part). You should see a hole that looks like a cross. Take a pen or key and push down on the black button in that hole. While you are holding it down rotate the toner cartridge towards you. You want to get the colored roller on the cartridge about 1/2in away from the metal bar that says "consumable reorder". You should be in a position to take out the toner. Let go of the hole and remove the cartridge. Repeat the steps until all of the cartridges have been removed. Turn the printer back on at this point. You are going to get toner not installed messages on the printer. Open the top cover and the cyan tray will be in place. Shake the toner and install. Close the cover and let it cycle to the next color (black). Repeat the process until all cartridges are installed. If you are still getting the error you either have a bad cartridge or the carousel that the toners sit in is damaged.

Hey all, after a load of grief, and NO help from the INTERWEB, I have chanced upon a solution. Firstly I installed a new local printer with IP number for network printer and associated network address/port (\\server\konicami). Then I installed the win7 64 bit bizhub162 drivers. Then I installed the win7 64bit BH 164 drivers and put an additional driver of BH 164 x86 win2000 on the properties (server has win2000). Then, when I selected the BH162 driver in printer properties driver pull down menu, it worked. wahey.
