Why do my prints have a purple tint to them?

Most cauuses to this is dirty or failing print head.

Many people would say it was the sponge that is doing that but let me tell you if it was a full sponge you would not even see that color tint. Its the print head that is not mixing correctly due to being dirty or corrosive. Do you use refilled ink cartridges? If so you answer is iron clad your print head will need to be replaced and you need to put a stop to the refilled oslution, if not then the print head got dirty or is defective.

1. print head cleaner
2. new print head.

thanks hope this does help please do be considerate and rate and leave feedback for your free answer. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/edwy_1a56970cf1ea4620

My kodak 5300 printer is printing with streaks

Hi

To resolve this issue you'll need to clean your printers cartridges. To clean it you'll need Q-Tip and alcohol. Turn off your printer and unplug it, now open the printer's front cover and take out the cartridges from their respective carriage. Now dip the Q-tip in alcohol and clean the cartridges with Q-tip. Also, clean the print head with Q-tip, use a paper towel if there is excessive ink inside the carriage.

Now let it dry and check if it is still giving similar issue. If yes then closely examine the print head for any kind of restiction like a piece of paper.

Bypassing printer warning that stops my printer

this one is one of my favourite hate printers... but, no you cannot disabel this function easy, you can "fool" this printer by following that procedure:

1. switch off your printer, wait few sec, switch it on
2. on your computer go to "start"
3. select "control panel"
4. select "printer and faxes"
5. right click on your "kodak easyshare 5300"
6. select "properties"
7. click on tab "services"
8. select "service this device"
9. click on tab "estimated ink level" - it shows estimated ink level after restart

you can use refill (very easy to do by yourself and about 1/3 cost of original replacements). and yes, you are right, cartridges do tend to dry out. i would suggest printing at least one page per week to prevent dry out of the cartridge.

as this particular printer will not work without both cartridges present. i would suggest to insert one empty cartrdge in colour slot and keep it there. on full cartridge use any sticky tape to prevent nozzle from drying, cover breather hole on the top of cartridge as well. when you need to print, remove tape from breathing hole first and then from the nozzle. this way you will prevent or at least slow down your cartridge evaporation ratio.

When printing a photo has a yellow/green tint

Possibly it is running low on Blue ink - because colors are usually a mixture of inks - for example green is made from blue and yellow - if an ink runs low it will print the available colors or substitute the next available color.Probably if it prints green yellow - then it has no blue available to make the right shade.

Cartridge jam in my Kodak EASYSHARE Series 3

The print head must be in the up position to remove the cartridge. If you cannot get it to do this by pushing buttons or unplugging the unit, you can do it by turning a gear inside the unit. This requires partial disassembly of the unit.

First remove two screws from back of unit, then pull up on top of unit, unplug two ribbon cables from circuit board and remove top. Then unplug two remaining ribbon cables from circuit board, and three screws holding circuit board. Lift circuit board and fan/fan-holder as one piece. You do not need to disconnect the fan wires.

The print head heat sink and carrier frame are now visible (large aluminum piece in the center). The gears and stepper motors are on the side opposite from the green cartridge release button. The gears near the front operate the paper feed mechanism. The gears in the back move the print head. By turning the large white plastic gear farthest toward the side and rear (driven by a stepper motor), the print head will move up and down. The gear should turn easily by pushing on the teeth with a small screwdriver. If it starts tuning harder, it is probably at the end of its travel. Turn the gear until the print head is up far enough to release the cartridge. There is a tab on the print head frame just above the green release button on the inside of the unit. When the print head is up, there is a space between the tab and the green button allowing the button to be released.

If you need more visibility, the entire printer frame can be removed from the plastic outer shell by removing 3 screws on the bottom of the unit. Note the position of the loose plastic piece in the front of the unit (for reassembly). It has a small tab that keeps the front door closed. You can leave the print head in the up position when reassembling the unit. It will automatically reposition when the unit is plugged in. Don't forget to put in a cartridge before plugging in.
