White westinghouse gas dryer
Probably the pilot valve is faulty. If the pilot stays lit the unit will still work properly, but should be repaired soon.
My dryer turns on but wont run
There are several bimetallic heat sensor switches in a dryer. Check them first, then the continuity of the door switch, then the control unit ( I usually get mine rebuilt), finally the motor as a last resort.
Dryer starts but stops shortly afterwards
- I would check the cord for good connection, make sure its all the way in the outlet and that its connected firmly in the back of the machine.
- Then check the door latch, sometimes the latch is loose or not locking properly, allowing the door to open slightly, stopping the machine.
If none of these work you might be looking at a short
3. Wires touching behind the control panel on the top of the machine or something along those lines.
Hope this helps
KitchenAid gas dryer is taking longer to dry I have checked the exhaust and it is working fine
Check the over temperature switch - if it is going bad, it thinks the air is too hot and will shut off the gas to allow the air to cool. If not hte over temp switch, check the temperature switch. Sometimes its easier to replace both switches at the same time, since they are near each other. That way, you change them both out, and while you have everything apart, thats a good time to make sure the air duct to the screen is clean.
Kitchenaid dryer keye670bwh2 turns on heats up for couple of minutes and then turn itself off
how do you mean it turns off?does the timer move to off or is it the motor is bad, overheating and shutting down?if it's the timer try it on auto or more or less and timed dry and see what it does, but if it just dies and then after a while you can start it again it sounds like you have a bad motor but this is just a guess without being there, this is an older dryer and not to expensive,i wouldn't put to much into this dryer.it wil cost you around 120 dollars for a new motor and blower wheel but if the blower wheel comes off the motor shaft you won't need it,if you're handy it's not a hard job but for another couple of hundred dollars you can get a new dryer, your call let me know what you find and what it's doing, also when you go to start it does it make a noise like a loud ahhh sound>if so it will be the motor.
I have a gas dryer and cloths come out wet
Does the dryer get hot? If so check dryer vent.If it is cold check the gas supply. Next open the lower cover and look to see a red glowing from the ignitor when running. It it comes on and no flame then you probably have a bad gas solenoid. If there is no red glow then it is probably the ignitor.Hope that helpsDale
