The contacts inside the headphone jack are made of a springy metal there is one for the left and one for the right speakers. This happened to my Blackberry and I took it apart and got inside the jack block and re-sprung the contacts. It worked for me... I used a dental pick.

.,I think i could help you with that.. It happened to my KPEX100 last week.. Here's what you should do..

Remove the silicon Case (if you have put it on),, look into both sides of your mp4 and try to see the small hole in there.. it says "RESET".. don't worry, your files will not be erased.. Get a Pin or anything that fits inside the small hole.. then try to press the pin inside the hole.. you will feel like hitting a small button there.. it will reset your KPEX.. try charging it on your computer or an outlet (if you have a charger for that) or try to connect the USB slot as if transfering files.. As soon as the KPEX started to light up,, its fine then.. =)

1. Start > Run -> type "CMD" and press enter 2. type< diskpart 3. type< list volume 4. type< select volume # (# is the number of the USB HDD you've pluged in) 5. type< attributes disk clear readonly (If you need help while typing commands then type "HELP FORMAT" on command prompt)

Click Start, type Device Manager in the Search box Click Device Manager from the returned list. Click Disk Drives from the list of hardware Right-click the USB external hard drive with the issue, and click Uninstall. After the hard drive is uninstalled, unplug the USB cable. Wait for 1 minute and then reconnect the USB cable. The driver should automatically load Check for the USB drive in Windows Explorer

When it says an error is you must check urdrive properties.

if your computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X

you will need to update/reinstall drivers

right click to reinstall drivers

if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports (com&lpt) right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems for a computer and its parts

Windows 7

First, please disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:

Click "Start" button, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the "Search" bar and press "Enter". Click "Continue" if necessary.

In Device Manager, double click to expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers", right click on the Host Controller, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".

Repeat the step 2 to uninstall all items under "Universal Serial Bus controllers".

Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will reinstall all USB controllers automatically.
