Hook stuck in kenwood major;
Force it out carefully. One person wrap tea towel over hook and turn forcefully, anticlockwise. Secnd person use a long handle screwdriver to hold the Kenwood still - wedge between the housing where the hook inserts. Hold Kenwood still whilst twisting the hook. When it comes apart, clean 'hole' and hook shaft thoroughly with WD40 / oil. Might need new hook if too damaged. Ours is ok seemingly.

There are two stages of closing, it will shut at around 6 o clock but it's locked when it's around 8 o clock (it should click into this same position when fully open) I fixed mine by pushing it down harder than I was doing. If it won't lock after this then a spring is borked.
