Kenwood Car Audio & Video - Page 8 - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

You have to adjust the crossover frequency setup. It is very difficult to describe all there through this window; as it will exceed its capacity. Just go to the page [63] of its user manaul "Crossover network setup". Before you do this adjustment, go to the audio setup and make subwoofer to ON. Audio set cannot be selected if no source is selected. Select a source first and adjuste these adjusments. Make sure that the Dual Zone function is set to OFF. Go to the Zone control menu and select it to one Zone if more thatn one is selected there.
If you fail to set these options, get the set to its factory reset state. To do this, there is a reset button at the front panel of the unit. Press it once with some sharp objects like tip of a ballpen or so. NB: Remove the USB device; if any; connected to this unit, before pressing reset, unless data in the USB device will get damaged. Probably the counter wheel inside the volume button has been damaged. You can try to open it up and check the module. Mostly its a 3 pin encoder block of a standard size. Just replace it with a soldering iron.

I have the same amp in my car, If it is only a month old there is a internal problem with it, It should stay on when you used a jumper wire, I installed car audio for over 40 years before i retired, End was allso Am a certified electronic (Tech) PS,One thing it is not a 2 channel amp, people mistake it for a 2 channel amp because of the for speaker terminals on them, It is a mono (Bloc) Amp ,End where people go wrong on wireing them up is buy , Having each sub hooh up seperately to it, Instead of use just one of the negative end positive terminal on it , .I no the instruction for the wireing on it are confuseing, That can cause it to shot down. Allso if you have dual voice coil subs end there not wired up properly will cause it to shot down,

More info is needed. Was there sound before? Do you have an amplifier hooked up to it? What kind of vehicle? The more info you can give the better chance of someone answering your question is.

Hi (from Australia), It's quite possible the laser is out of alignment. This is easily rectified, just take it to a repairer and they will do it for you, and it shouldn't cost more than $20. Kind Regards, Neil.

If it Sirius capable, get the radio's Sirius satellite ESN, (electronic serial number), from your radio and call Sirius satellite radio and they will tell you what to do. I don't know how to get this number from your unit but in my Lincoln, all I had to do was push and hold the Sirius button on the dash with the radio on and it popped up on the display. Your instruction manual should tell you how to do it. If it isn't compatible, you'll have to buy a Sirius receiver and have it activated with them. Good luck.

Indash DVD units are programmed not to allow DVD's to play while the car is in motion. The unit only allows DVD viewing when the car is parked and the parking brake activated.

To get around this, you simply splice the parking break wire from the radio to the -NEG wire of the radio.

If this doesnt help let me know.
