The remote wire is usually blue. Make sure u do not use the blue for speakers. The remote wire should be in with the power wires.

There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset; and the other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. The exact model of DVD player matters. Not all models can play a Computer burned disc.
There are several types of DVD
A factory type DVD in DVD format
A burned movie in MPEG format
a burned disc in DivX format.
Etc.
Try burning the disc with a DVD Creator program, not just 'Burn to DVD'. It's not the same thing.

Most car harnesses will correspond by Colour thus look out for an orange Colour from the pre-installed/ pre-selected wires.
Now the issue is, not all cars come with such wires pre-selected and installed ie bunched up with the Audio cluster, for such, you need to identify the wire yourself that connects to the light switch on your dash board and tap into it.
