Battery for cameras are normally made a specific shape or size so they only fit that camera and yours is just like that. The batteries to wear out and degrade so much that they came be fully charged (or never charge) and dissipate that power in 4 minutes from full to 'not enough power to operate'. The only difference with batteries is the number of Milli Amp Hour figure, the more mAh, the longer the camera works on a charge. The spec on yours is

I think the VHS-C (compact?) cassette is suppose to fit inside the JVC CP6U adapter if that is what you're asking?

'MGI photo III se' is, I believe, software, not a driver as such. Are you sure that the drivers you have installed are compatible with your OS?

If you have overwritten the videos, I'm afraid there is little chance. A specialised software expert may be able to recover something, but it would be extremely expensive, as it is a labour-intensive job.

IF you have 2 disks stuck in it you are not going to be able to remove them without damage unless you take the unit apart.

Download the free VLC player here: VLC for Mac It knows (almost) all video formats. Realise there is no standard for MP4. there are so many different formats, you need a good program for that.

I can understand your problem. I have the same problem with Windows 7 software for a video capture card manufactured by Canopus (Grass Valley) After much searching and experimenting I decided that the best solution was to maintain a Windows XP machine for this one purpose. In my case it was a cheap solution because I have a collection of Windows machines that I can use. It enabled me to capture my old family movies on DV tape format and then transfer them to my newer machine for editing. Sorry I don't have a better solution, but sometimes technology progresses faster than is convenient for some of us. Cheers, Don.

You require a usb cable for this and also the cd you got with this device install cd and plug in and play

If you do have a recent digital camcorder, you should look in the box it came in. The camera came with a CD on it is the Capty MPEG edit EX program. That will help you to put the video on your MAC and even allow you to edit the videos.
