I dont find any driver to connect my JVC mimi DV gr-d720e to pc
Hi...
If you have a CD installer of your camera you need to install the driver so that you cam can be detected. If your cd is lost you need to visit the JVC site then search the model of you camera, if you can see now the model you can start to download the driver. "good luck"

JVC gr-d270 driver
Hi guys,
I have a JVC gr-d270. the CD came along with it is useless.
my computer cannot detect the video cam hrough USB. I have to transfer
my videos to my computer. Can anybody help me with the driver atleast.
Im using windowsXP sp 2.
Thanks
My GR_SMX730U VHS camcorder is eating the tape.It uses a PRO TC-30 casset.
that means the head is sticky or the takeup rollers are icky
take it apart . clean all the parts the tape touches with something thats strong but little water .
as for the head very carefull clean it when you get to the actual holes where heads are only use a proper qtip wetted . look it up or youll break them.
on the rubber rollers scrub them . then load the tape an watch it run.
its easy to fix this but you need a nice clean place an some small phillips , take pics of parts/screws if needed

How do i fix the problem,
Get a pack of moister absorber from hard ware store and pack with camera (break seal) in sealed plastic container, then take to camera repaire as excess moister might case rust or failure off circuit, sorry but you might be already too late.

Tape won't eject on my jvc gr-d60. help please.
Remove battery
Press and HOLD Eject as you place battery back on (so its the first command it recognizes with power) and try to eject. If it does not come out, camera will need service to remove tape or fix gears

No image through view finder or lcd monitor
JVC has acknowledged a fault on their side that will cause certain models to display the "lens cap" error, and they offer free repairs, unfortunately your model isn't on the list. You still might get some consideration, since there are plenty of models from the GR-D series listed. Here's a link to the JVC site : http://www.jvc.com/support/notification/index.jsp?pageID=2
You're not alone though, it's a very common problem also with models that are not listed by JVC. I only heard of complaints by people that JVC refused to help, but it won't hurt trying, maybe they'll give in to public pressure eventually.
Good luck

POWER VOLTAGE
No. To work with 220V~240v; the device need a step down transformer to be connected in between line and device. The transformer [voltage converter] should be used, otherwise; the unit will get damaged. The step down transformer adaptors can be bought locally.

How do I clean the head when it gives you an alert?
two ways, buy a mini dv cleaning cassette, two if you do not have one, put the cam in play mode, hit play, than fast forward button for a min, the tape going fast sometimes cleans the head. not just fast forward but play, than ff so the tape is hitting the head, other than that, the cam has to be taken apart and the heads cleaned with the proper cleaning solution and PROPER brush as not to hurt the fragile heads

The sound on my camera is not working correctly
Is the sound distorted or completly gone. If gone, check your camera setting for NARRATION and make sure its set to MIX. If you have sound but its distorted, i would recommend a DV head cleaner
