My Janome 300e screen is frozen on the info page (Main Ver.1.00-K-001Y, Slave Ver.001, DCI Ver.1.06) Can I reset it?

  1. Power Off: Turn off your machine completely. Make sure it's not just in standby mode but completely powered down.
  2. Unplug: Disconnect the power cord from the outlet. Wait for about 10-15 seconds to ensure all power is drained from the machine.
  3. Plug Back In: Reconnect the power cord to the outlet.
  4. Power On: Turn on your Janome 300e and see if the screen is responsive now.
If the issue persists even after performing a reset, there might be a more significant problem with the machine's software or hardware. In such cases, it's advisable to contact Janome customer support or a certified technician for further assistance. They may provide additional troubleshooting steps or recommend servicing the machine.

Janome 350E Sewing Machine. I am getting a message telling me to raise the presser foot and needle bar then turn off the machine. After doing all that the message is still there? What can I do?

Are you having any problems moving the needle bar with the hand wheel? Make sure that the presser foot is up and the needle bar is fully up. Then redo the top threading for the machine. Try unplugging the machine and blowing any loose debris out of the needle bar area. (I'd suggest compressed (canned) air or equivalent to minimize excess moisture in the electronics.) Also check if the machine gives the same message with the presser foot and needle down on restart. If the problem persists, then the issue is likely to be a faulty control board. I don't know if any sewing machine repair technicians still have spare boards. They aren't on the in stock parts at two vendors that I know. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

I have a Janome model 577 (I know it's old!!) and

If the top tension is on 0 I suspect the problem begins in the bobbin, make sure first of all the bobbin is turning anti clockwise in the bobbin case, when you pull the thread through the bobbin case there should be slight resistence, if it is too loose turn the screw on the bobbin case clockwise about a quarter of a turn to tighten, if it is not making muh difference you may have fluff stuck under the spring on the bobbin casem take a fine sewing needle and slide it under the spring to see if you can get any fluff out, top tension about 4 or 5

Janome 350E suddenly stopped reading the USB

Your space is not formatted correctly to the size of the hoop. For example if the hoop is 5x7 your design has to fit within that space, and the space cannot be bigger than 5x7. Strange but true and it will fix the reboot and shut down issue.

Memory craft 5700 needle vibrates when I turn machine on

The issue you're experiencing could be caused by a few different factors, including a bent needle, incorrect threading, or a malfunctioning bobbin case . I would recommend checking the following: Ensure that the needle is inserted correctly and is not bent or damaged. Check that the machine is threaded correctly and that the thread is not tangled or caught anywhere. Inspect the bobbin case to ensure that it is properly installed and functioning correctly. If the issue persists, I would recommend contacting a Janome dealer or repair center for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose the issue and provide a solution .

I've been trying out a New Home, Janome 641 for my granddaughter. It will only sew backwards.

A new old machine for you I assume. For older mechanical only machines, reverse stitch is an exaggerated long stitch length that changes the angle and contact time of fabric to the feed dogs. Try setting stitch length to minimum and straight stitch. Check feed dog up/down is functional (if featured). It could also be the reverse linkage is simply stuck and the machine is in need of a thorough clean/lube.I looked for a manual but so far have not found. I'll append if I find.

Janome Memory Craft 11000 Sewing Machine. I put it in the closet for 3 years! I got it out yesterday with a message saying the feed dog motor.

Question edited for clarity. Question moved from Cars and Trucks category. Of course. It is the absolute worst thing to do to a sewing machine, leave a machine in a closet for 3 years. It oil will have congealed and gone rancid and any lint that was in there will have set hard. It will need a good clean, lubrication, service and timing done. Plus it is electronic, so I hope your close in nice and dry and warm with no moisture. Even if you don't use them, then need cleaning and oiling every year. https://www.janome.com/machines/embroidery/mc11000/ ..

Janome 6500 Sewing Machine. CORRECT TENSION ON 6500 JANOME SEW MACHINE please.

Question edited for clarity. Please don't type in all CAPS, it is considered SHOUTING and is harder to read. Sewing machine tension is a delicate tug of war between the bottom Bobbin tension and the Upper tension to put the loop between the 2 layers of fabric. You set the Bobbin tension first and the the top tension depends on the fabric and the thread used. Your Bobbin tension is very very loose to be not tensioning at all or the top tension is too loose.

Why does my old Janome sewing machine suddenly not sew a straight stitch anymore, but keeps throwing a zig zag every so often, after years of behaving ok?

Question edited for clarity, the name 'Jerome' to 'Janome'. Question moved to maker category. If it is a manual machine, something has come loose. If it electronic, you may be able to reset the control board. They need servicing every 18 months to 2 years irrespective of how often you use them. Janome Mystyle 22 skips stitches on the buttonhole function

If your Janome Mystyle 22 sewing machine is skipping stitches specifically when using the buttonhole function, there could be a few possible causes for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try: 1. Needle: You mentioned that you have already changed the needle, but it's worth double-checking that you are using the correct needle type and size for the fabric you are working with. Ensure that the needle is inserted correctly and tightened securely. 2. Thread tension: Improper thread tension can cause skipped stitches. Make sure the upper thread and bobbin thread are properly threaded and that the tension settings are adjusted correctly for the fabric you are using. You may need to experiment with different tension settings to achieve the best results. 3. Buttonhole foot: Check that the buttonhole foot is attached securely and positioned correctly. Ensure that it is clean and free from any lint or debris that may be affecting its performance. 4. Feed dogs: The feed dogs underneath the fabric may not be gripping the fabric properly, especially when working with lighter fabrics. Ensure that the feed dogs are clean and free from any obstructions. You can try using a fabric stabilizer or placing tissue paper under the fabric to provide more traction for the feed dogs. 5. Lubrication: While you mentioned that the machine was recently serviced, it's possible that the buttonhole mechanism could benefit from some additional lubrication. Consult the user manual or contact Janome's customer support to inquire about lubrication points and recommended lubricants for your specific model. 6. Stitch length and speed: Adjusting the stitch length and sewing speed can sometimes help improve buttonhole stitching. Experiment with different stitch length settings to see if it makes a difference in stitch quality. If you have tried all these steps and the issue persists, it may be best to consult a professional technician or reach out to Janome's customer support for further assistance. They will be able to provide specific guidance and recommendations based on your sewing machine model.
