Can you see the player under “Disk Management”?
If not change the jumper setting on the hard drive to “Cable Select” and see whether it works.
All the best!

Ten years ago, or so,
If the tipewriter has ASCII Text Conversion Utility, then just use the utility to save into ASCII.
If there is no utility , you need to use a program like
SuperScripsit on a DOS or Windows 95 computer to open the Sharp file and save it in ASCII.
TRS80Stuff.net - Download: SuperScripsitI can be more specific if you give me the Sharp Word Processing unit model number.

Inoi partition error
My INOI also has the same problem. It says "PARTITION ERROR" when I turn on (using the USB drive plugged into the computer). Upon reading and researching on the Internet, I feel that the battery inside may be weak for startup. Looks like installing a new battery would help ??

Inoi MP3
I have the same problem, sometimes, if I plug it up to the computer, with usb port and press the computer option, keep pluging and unpluging over and over it will reset and starts working again. But it still fails, It may have something to do with the internal battery being weak. Even thought it shows charged, may not be able to supply the current required to start the hard drive.
