How do I check the capacitors on an I initial tv model# DTV -372?

There are meters called ESR meters that you use. They are not really expensive. That is the best way. Other than that some can be spotted by looking for leaks or bulging.

Your setup has a TV/Monitor and a audio/video box. The A/V box is connected to the TV and other source inputs connect to the A/V box. Hookup your cable box to the A/V box either using component video (green, blue, red) RCA cables from cable box outputs to the A/V box inputs OR the A/V box also has a DVI/HDMI input jack which may work using a HDMI cable.
Select the proper source.

Need to factory reset my Initial LCD hdtv model#DTV-321. It powers on but has no pic and making a buzzing niise on the upper right hand side of its back panel. What buttons do I hold reset it?

There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

Have Initial TV/DVD Combo Model HD TV 262 with no picture. Worked one day and not the next. When you first turn it on, get a blue screen with words DVD Card and it turns black in 5 seconds.

Initial DVD player #1731 will not load disc & play. a peg when (in cover)- front RT- inserts into a tiny hole on base won't activate to load and play DISC. PLEASE HELP POOR DESIGN
