You have a component down to earth. The problem isn't the start button. Most likely to be the element, but ciuld be wash or drain pump. Check the element with a resistance meter first, when you find the componant at fault, replace it

Sounds like your shaft seals have gone. This usually takes more labor, special tools, and parts than the unit is worth. Unless it is a family heirloom or something, suggest replace it with a new machine.

Have you tried indesit it website? I'm sure there will be a download section, or the ability to contact them

It's usually behind the control panel you have to remove the screws on the door

Disconnect from mains for 15 minutes and then change cicle and start

Check the heater has not shorted out.....feel the heating element it should be smooth ...... if there's a rough spot it has blown and will have to be replaced. feel the heater

It sounds like you're door switch needs realigning.have a look at the door switch at the top of the door it should like a little pair or jaws to pass over the metal bracket at the top of the cabinet but if it has "TUMBLED "it will be facing the wrong way.if this is the case then you will have to try to click it back into place with a flat bladed screwdriver but failing that it might be easier to remove the stainless inner door panel as the screws are visible and easy to remove and replace IF YOU HAVE TO DO THIS WEAR GLOVES AND BE VERY CAREFUL AS THE EDGES ARE RAZOR SHARP. D

Hi try checking if the drain outlet pipe is blocked by this I mean blow down the pipe it takes a bit of puff but if you cant then there's is something blocking the water from getting out, either a blockage or the water pump not working enabling the washer to start the new cycle I hope that helps cheers eric
