Windows XP does not have support for any disk-drive larger than 2TB. So, your 3TB disk-drive will not work. Upgrade your computer, or buy a 2TB disk-drive.

Sounds like a dead (or jammed) motor -- the one that spins the media. It's relatively easy to open the case, disconnect the USB-to-IDE interface adapter from the 40-pin IDE connector, and go onto eBay to find any "internal" or "external" LS-120 device, and swap it in, to replace the "not-spinning" device.

Define "no tworks"? When you insert a disk, do you hear it spinning? If it does spin, does it transfer any data from the disk into the computer?

It *should* be compatibble, because it is a "plug-and-play" device with a standard USB interface.

It is a "plug-and-play" USB-device, and *should* be recognized, if the hardware inside the case is in working order. So, exercise that "warranty" to get it replaced. Try connecting it to a Windows PC (XP/Vista/7/8), to see if Windows will recognize it.

IMATION stopped making the "LS-120" (Laser Servo) drive many years ago, when USB-interface memory-sticks became cheaper & faster. Imation did have parallel-port device-driver software for Windows 95/98/ME, but never updated them for Windows NT/2000/XP. Instead, disassemble the case, and you will find an IDE-interface Imation LS-120 drive inside. Connect the same "smaller" 4-pin power-connector that used to connect to a 1.44 Mbyte 3.5-inch diskette, set the "master/slave" jumper, and connect an 80-pin IDE ribbon-cable, and connect the other end of the ribbon-cable to an IDE socket on the motherboard.

I'd go into disk manager, delete any partitions and reformat the flash drive.

What is it NOT doing???

You should be able to go to the ASUS website and download the information you need. I looked but they have no info on a P4P900se. You might have to double check the number on the board.

Hi Suriani Plug it in to another computer to see if drive is working OK Might be nothing wrong with your windows.

If the drive has a USB interface, Mac OS X will support it.

I believe it's a usb connection? It should work on xp. The only problem i can think of is the driver, which should be available on their website. Is it an Imation brand?

Try plugging into windows xp and if it will ask for a driver then head over to manufacturer's site and download the appropriate driver.
