Examine the tops of these for any dome-like appearance; this is a sign of failure since these should be flat. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

1: Get a movie and some popcorn. 2: Make sure the DVD player and the tv are turned on. 3: Push the button on either the front of the player or on the remote to open the player door to load the disc. 4. Put the disc on the tray that pops out 5. Push the same button pushed previously to close the door 6. Enjoy the movie

About the only thing I can think of is getting a new remote that can accept the programming of the ILO TV and control it that way. A remote I use for work is a URC. They work great.

You may have to connect to a different output until you can change the settings back.

Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. I hear ya, I have two Ilo's like that myself! There is a small rubber band that goes around two pulleys that open and close the dvd tray they get worn and won't let the door open. Sadly I can't find any to replace them. you can slap the top of player to open them which I have done but after awhile it starts to hurt! lol Finally I bought a dvdrw like goes in a PC and set it up on top of my player. I opened up ILo took the strap and power supply from old recorder and hooked them to the new one. don't look pretty but works. But you will have to make sure you get the right type all will not work. The burn speed on the ILo 4 to 8x Ide DL. Hope this helps.

Most likely it's a capacitor fault. Google "Capacitor bulge" and then search Youtube for your make and model to see if anyone has done an instructional video. You'll need to be comfortable dismantling the TV and be able to use a soldering iron. If this isn't you then take it to a repair shop.
