To select its inputs, you should have a remote control. To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Check this site too. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Visit some online sites too, which deals with electronic spare parts.

You can use the old ps2 video connector with the yellow red white. Or rgb red green blue with wht /red audio for 720, or they make HDMI converter boxes for HDMI to other outputs.

Unfortunately, the only way to reach the AV input on the IWT3206 is with the remote's Input Select button. If your universal remote doesn't match that function, you need a different remote control. However, if the remote has a Source button, instead of Input, try that option or try programming the remote with any other codes for Funai TVs. The lowest end universal remotes often do not have bot the Menu and Input features. Other remotes may work better for your use. There are several sources that have remote controls that are guaranteed to match your original remote. At remotes.com, see http://www.remotes.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=IWT3206 . Amazon also has a matching remote: http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Control-NE906UD-IWF2706-IWT3206A/dp/B009D5PC3S .

Ilo is a Sylvania brand and was manufactured by Funai. The manual is available here: http://www.funaiservice.com/manual2012_search2.php . (If you start at the Funai support page: http://www.funai.us/support/ , click on Sylvania and then select the Ilo brand and enter your model #.) The direct link to the manual is currently http://www.funaiservice.com/manuals/ILO/IWT3206/IWT3206.pdf .

I hope this helps.

If you can get input to work you might be able to work around it with a vcr tuner and remote. If channel 3 works you can hook up an external tuner.

Lots of different work arounds depending on just what you can get to work.

If nada, then you just might have to bite the bullet given the high cost of repairs and the relatively inexpensive prices for new ones.

Add me to the list also, this was the worst electronic purchase I've ever made. The 26' HTDV worked for 1-year.

Will not resond to change channel, volume, menu access.... neither from TV or remote. Just turns on and off. The channel it is set on work fine just can't adjust.

It won't work because the tuner from your ilo TV will not be able to decode the digital signal from the cable company even if your TV has a digital tuner. The digital tuner on your TV will only decode over the air signals.
You will still need the digital cable box from the cable company.

There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset; and the other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

The Ilo IWT3206 is a CRT type TV; it does have an ATSC tuner to support digital OTA TV signals. It doesn't have an HDMI port. The best input it has is the component video in. There are HDMI to component converters. However, most of them have issues with digital rights management protections (HDCP). The manual for the Ilo IWT3206 is available from the manufacturer (Funai). Their support page is at http://www.funai-corp.com/support/manuals.aspx . The direct link to the manual is http://www.funai-corp.com/support/om/IWT3206.pdf .

I wish that I had better news for you. If you have a different model, please post a comment or a new question.

Hi Darlene, Good picture is the one which is pleasing to watch and comfortable to your eyes. Please go to picture setting menu and set the levels of contrast, brightness, colour, sharpness and backlight to your liking. If you find it difficult, please go to picture MODE and select the one you like from standard, vivid, soft, and cinema. Happy viewing.

1. Ilo is defunct so service will be limited.
2. Check if there is some notable sequence in the blinks; these will sometimes reveal the nature of the problem; i.e. if there are three blinks followed by a brief pause, this constitutes an error code which may be available on the web for that set.

Finally, many failures are related to a certain part failing; one or more electrolytic capacitors.

The following procedure may help determining if this is your point of failure:

Power supply tips

Look inside for a block (modular) assembly with larger components and several connectors that is bolted onto a larger panel.
These are purchased from other sources, not made by set maker.

Look into the guts of this assembly for cylindrical components with plastic jackets and an aluminum top, mostly mounted vertical to the board.

Examine the tops of these for any dome-like appearance; this is a sign of failure since these should be flat.
They are inexpensive (one reason they fail), and this failure can be prevented by spending another dollar or two in the manufacture of them.

Replacements can be had but unless a couple of parts are added (by the maker or a smart tech) the same failure will eventually occur.
