Unfortunately, the only way to reach the AV input on the IWT3206 is with the remote's Input Select button. If your universal remote doesn't match that function, you need a different remote control. However, if the remote has a Source button, instead of Input, try that option or try programming the remote with any other codes for Funai TVs. If you can get input to work you might be able to work around it with a vcr tuner and remote. If channel 3 works you can hook up an external tuner. Lots of different work arounds depending on just what you can get to work. If nada, then you just might have to bite the bullet given the high cost of repairs and the relatively inexpensive prices for new ones.

Add me to the list also, this was the worst electronic purchase I've ever made. The 26' HTDV worked for 1-year.

Will not resond to change channel, volume, menu access.... neither from TV or remote. Just turns on and off. The channel it is set on work fine just can't adjust.

It won't work because the tuner from your ilo TV will not be able to decode the digital signal from the cable company even if your TV has a digital tuner. The digital tuner on your TV will only decode over the air signals. You will still need the digital cable box from the cable company.

There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset; and the other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. The Ilo IWT3206 is a CRT type TV; it does have an ATSC tuner to support digital OTA TV signals. It doesn't have an HDMI port. The best input it has is the component video in. There are HDMI to component converters. However, most of them have issues with digital rights management protections (HDCP). The manual for the Ilo IWT3206 is available from the manufacturer (Funai). Hi Darlene, Good picture is the one which is pleasing to watch and comfortable to your eyes. Please go to picture setting menu and set the levels of contrast, brightness, colour, sharpness and backlight to your liking. If you find it difficult, please go to picture MODE and select the one you like from standard, vivid, soft, and cinema. Happy viewing.
