Husqvarna Sewing Machines - Page 8 - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

It looks like there are a few stitches among the quilting stitches (Row 2) that are blanket stitches; these are all stitches with a stitch to the left and a line of straight stitch. Stitch patterns 16, 17, and 18 are the ones to check out. Stitch 17 might be closer to the look of a hand-sewn blanket stitch. Stitch 16 has two straight stitches for every stitch to the left. Stitch 18 has a one to one ratio of stitches to the left for every stitch to the left.

You can see the stitches available on the Husqvarna Tribute 140C on the product page: . The direct link to the list is here: . These stitches are also shown starting on page 44 of the manual, .

I hope this helps.

well the question is
do you want the machine to do something different to what you are doing now
It has lasted for 18 years and you must be happy with the way it has been working
Maybe all it needs is a good service from an authorized service agent to have any worn bushes /parts replaced
Machine today are smarter , fancier but far less reliable than older machines

Very possible the needle is old, damaged, or the incorrect type for the fabric. Sometimes a straight-stitch needle plate can be used on a machine that will prevent the fabric from going down through the hole. But try a new needle first. Make sure you are using the correct type of needle for the fabric you are sewing--sharp for woven fabric, ball point for knit.

Try switching it off and unplugging the power socket. After 5 mins plug back in to the socket and switch it on.
If that does not fix it, its a circuit board fault.

Have you tried contacting support for Husqvarna at [email protected]? I know I've done a pretty exhaustive search of the web by that model number and have come up with nothing, not on free or paid sites.

That would be my only suggestion, other than maybe keeping an eye on eBay. Sometimes you can find someone selling an old manual on their for a machine that's broken on them and they're not fixing.
