This presser foot, https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/open-toe-free-motion-spring-foot-4130376-46.aspx , should be compatible with the Emerald 203 and 183 for free motion quilting. Additional Husqvarna Viking Emerald 2030 feet are listed here: https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/viking-emerald-203-sewing-machine-parts.aspx?filter.ptype_gmcfeed_1=%20Presser%20Feet&sort.ss_cat_sort=desc&index=1 .

I hope this helps.

The manual for your machine is probably out of print. If you call 1-800-474-6437 Husqvarna may be able to get you a photo copy of the original owners manual.

The Husqvarna Designer Ruby can read a number of embroidery file formats: .SHV, .DHV, .HUS, .VIP, .VP3, .PEC, .PCS, .SEW, .JEF, .EXP, .10*, and .DST. One other embroidery file format is accepted. See the manual. It can read the .SH7 stitch format files and .VF3 embroidery font files. It can also read .HTM/ .HTML and .TXT files. With the complimentary 5D software (or a similar package), you can convert most other embroidery files to one that is compatible with the Designer Ruby.

The documentation for many Husqvarna Viking sewing machines is available here: http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/Support . The manual and other useful information for the Designer Ruby is here: http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/support/DESIGNER-RUBY . The current link to the manual is http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/SiteMedia/Products/Machines/Support/Designer_Ruby_manual_ENG_A.pdf?ext=.pdf . The file extensions are listed on page 9:2 (page 100 of the PDF).

I hope this helps.

(I will admit to mostly using the .HUS files with the Designer Ruby.)

1-get a piece of wax 2-or a bar of soap you rub the wax OR the soap on the stretch fabric that will allow the needle to go thru with no problem 3-get a piece wooly fabric wet it with sewing machine oil and set it some where on top of sewing machine UNDER THE TREAD THAT WILL ALLOW THE TREAD TO GET WET AS YOU DO THE SEWING.

depends on where you live and who would want to buy.
New sewing machines can be bought at Walmart for $99 - $200 with a lot of stitches and extras. :-)

I have a Husqvarna #1 that I also love. My needle stopped moving too. I was convinced it was the foot peddle but a repair person sais it was not. I discovered on my own that indeed it is the cord on the foot peddle. I suspect it has a loose wire because when I wiggle it where it connects to the machine it starts working again. Right now this is what I have to do because I can't find a replacement peddle. Can anybody help me find one?

Use a zig-zag so the stitching will not pop when the fabric stretches.

Make sure you are using the correct bobbin, and that it was threaded properly. Check needle and plate to make sure there are no nicks. Clean all fuzz from the bobbin area. Always thread needle with needle down.
