My Everstart 750 peak amp jump starter will not come on at all... What’s wrong with it?

Jump Packs are a great way to boost a discharged battery that can't get the vehicle started and, in many cases, can be safer and easier to use than jumper cables. BUT they do need to be charged up at regular intervals - about once a month or so to be sure they work as expected because they can self-discharge over time. Jump starters with a lead acid battery are very similar to each other and many are generic label engineered imported items. The manual mostly covers the safe useage and operating procedures that are mostly intuitive - few people that know nothing about inflating tyres or jump starting a dead vehicle would own a jump starter...

Jump starters are mostly so similar the instruction booklet for one will serve for many others. There is really only a few things to remember - a battery can explode so if sparks have to be made make sure they are nowhere near the (vehicle) battery, observe the correct polarity (failure to do so can be very expensive) and top up charge your jump starter after each use and monthly regardless (leaving it in a discharged or semi-discharged state will quickly render it useless).

I have just purchased a 00 peugeot 406 hdi, bosch fuel system,the car was not running i have replaced the pressure regulator at the back of the lift pump and now the car runs for about 10 seconds and

I had a problem similar to that which you described the car would start fine then few seconds later it would cut out completely.
i changed the fuel pump, Fuel pump relay and still the problem was there and a a code of P0230 i cleaned the ECU connections which still didnt change anything so i put a jumper wire to bypass the fuel pump relay it got it to work fine.
With abit more digging and head scratching i opened up the ECU and found one wire broken.
I soldered it back in place and behold the car worked a dream no problem ever since.
I also removed the bypass which i put on the fuel pump relay and put the relay back.
Dont know if this would fix your problem but hopefully it would be of help.
