there is the website to find the codes. you have to know the model of the receiver first. this can be found in 2 places if there is a door that you can open on the front of the recever, it would be on a sticker there with the model # or it could be on the back of the receiver on a sticker there. when searching for codes look under "SATELLITE SET TOP BOX"

I hope the tivo is still under warranty, it sounds like it's time to call them, sorry I couldn't be of better assistance.

HRMC 15 Code Scanning method...
1.Press TV device button on the HMRC 15
2. Press Select and Mute simultaneously until TV device button flashes.
3. TV device Button should now stay lit.
4. Aim Remote at TV
5. Press The CHANNEL button UP ...repeat until your TV turns off.
6. Press Power Button to turn TV back on (Thus confirming you found the right code).
7. Press the TV device button to lock in code.
8. ENJOY !!!

If that remote did not come with the TV, then you probably bought it and it's a compatible remote. Compatible remotes usually should come with a list of rules and instructions. If you have one you should find the name of the TV you are going to use it on, then look up that certain TV's combination and enter it on the remote. I had this problem too, but I figured out that I wasn't entering the combination correctly. If that doesn't work my only other solution is that the remote is bad.

press and hold tv power button and the directv button at the same time, when it lights up solid red enter 0091 and that should work

on front of receiver, there is a door that you can open. behind the door there is a red reset button. press the red reset. this should fix the problem

I found the manual for that model online, and according to it, the "Live TV" button should function exactly the same way your old Tivo did.

If it's not working correctly, you may want to contact the manufacturer, assuming it's still under warranty.

not without a subscription to Directv. after it enters the box it is basicly a Directv signal, it has to show up on the program guide.

Most likely, it's your hard drive. It can be replaced, so you don't have to junk the unit.

get new ones i just had 2 boxes replaced 1 was sd-hbh and the other was a hi-def box both were fried cause the nit wit that set up the system didn't ground the dish and we got a lightning strike that fried them.... i would call direct tv or whoever your sat provider is because mine were replaced for free with 2 brand new boxes.... and you should check to see if your dish is grounded it will usually be grounded to a water pipe somewhere in the area of where your multi-switch is located

I had the vary same problem, One solution is to remove the s-cable and use the analog video out, I have read lots of forums about this, it works for most people, No one seems to know why the s-cable causes pixelation on sat 2 input, and can't find anybody that can fix it completly, check forums at weak knees.com and tivo comunity. You have to push and hold down TV and Mute button (for 2 seconds at the same time), then release them at the same time, then push channel up until the TV turns off.  Be patient and continue channel up until the TV turns off.  When it turns off, then push TV again to lock the code.

You were doing fine, but missed to push channel up to fine the code.
