Remove the batteries and SD card for about 5 minutes. Reinsert and see if that resolves the issue..

Does SD card work in PC? HP R707 will not work with SD card larger than 2GB.

Some Cameras flash Red or Green (ie) Red Over Exposed. Green Exposure Set OK. Check Camera Manual to see if you have information on this..

Bring it back. They obviously did something. Maybe even switched products. Stick up for you self and do not back down. Or call HP

I have an HP R927 and just had the same problem. Take out your memory card. Look on the side of the card and you will see and white "knobby thing" ... make sure it is pushed up ... that should fix it.

I had the same issue, just turned cam off and back on, error msg gone. My batt is also not holding charge now using cam w/power connected. Have not used cam for a while, do batts go bad from just sitting?

Sounds as if there is damage to either the lens or the lens focusing mechanism.
