Duplicate alarms
I may be off base but might the problem be as simple as the frequency being set for the alarm. What I mean to say is, might the default reminder time for the alarm be set to such a low setting like sec's or minutes leaving the unit to repeat the alarm rapidly prior to your being able to dismiss/snooze.

Can I update jornada 525 to poquet pc 2002 ?
Unfortunately, the Jornada 525 cannot be upgraded to Pocket PC 2002. The Pocket PC 2002 operating system requires a handheld with a StrongARM processor. The Jornada 525 has a Hitachi SH-3 processor.

PPc turns on every few minutes, eats batteries
Do you have anything in your startup folder that is running that could cause your computer to turn on? Or can you remember installing any new software at the time you started having this problem? If you did install some new software try uninstalling it and see if the problem goes away. Good luck.
Memory
There is the extended battery pack adds an MMC slot and leaves the CF slot open...
So you could use the CF for the Wireless LAN and the MMC for extra memory...
