Our Ademco 6160 PL3 alarm system keypad has an error message

It is located inside a tan colored metal box 12"wide by 15" tall and 4" deep; unless it is flush mounted, then only .5" deep. inside you will most likely find a 12 volt 4 or 5 or 7 amp hour battery. Note; the door may have a lock on it. I have found the key on top of the box, in the lock, and unlocked. The box could be located anywhere but, many times in closets, utility rooms, garages, crawl spaces, etc.

ADEMCO alarm system indicates A/C not ready.

Turn the alarm off two times. If it still indicates A/C not ready, press the * key and it will tell you what zone is open or what zone has a low battery.

Monotronics alarm key pad beeps repeatedly and read bf check bat. What does this mean

"bf" stands for "Back up failure. Your system communication to the monitoring station is working on phone lines only if it's tied into them. I would call the monitoring station and see if it's still communicating.

Security code program for ademco alarm 6150

6150 is the type of keypad you have the alarm system itself. The 6150 works on a number of different Honeywell panels. You need to locate the main metal box and open it. There should be a white sticker on the board with the panel type. (Ex. v10,v20, Vista...)

Custom names to zone vista 20p

It's something that has to be done in the systems programming. A programming guide will most likely also be needed.

Honeywell Ademco alarm panel reads Chime BAT 11

The answer above is incorrect. If the back up battery was low it says, "bat" on the screen and that's it. Since the "11" is being displayed, zone #11 on your wireless system as a low battery.

How do you enable the visible exit countdown on the vista series?

Get into programming then enter # 197. If you get a zero and a beep, enter *1971 then get out of programming. This will work on vista-15p, vista-15psia, vista-20p, and vista-20psia panels

Your current monitoring company would take information from you that is typically on the cell radio then upload it with any changes they need. Your new monitoring company should be able to help GL.
