How to adjust oil flow to homelite 3514c. UT10640.
Chainsaw oil pumps are fairly simple affairs, to increase oil flow you obviously cannot increase the engine speed, so you increase the throw of the pump shaft, so the pump shaft not only rotates, it moves back and forth ( the throw ) so the back of the pump shaft is cut off at an angle, the adjuster screw sits on the back of the shaft, so now when it rotates it moves in and out due to this angle, so the close the screw is to the centre of the shaft the lesser the throw, the further out the bigger the throw, so unscrewing the adjuster ( anti clockwise ) increases the flow, and visa versa.
Blower won't start.it's getting a good
Whilst I cannot offer a definite solution to this problem, it is worth disassembling the carburettor looking for dark brown material that collects if you don't drain the fuel tank after each use. I have started running all of my petrol engines dry to avoid this problem of fuel evaporating leaving coagulated oil in the carburettor as a membrane. You won't damage a good motor by doing this since as you should have lubrication for the piston rings right up until the agonal stroke.
What is the fuel mixture for a homelite 30cc engine on a small tiller/cultivator
The oil ratio is not adjusted to the engine it is the formulation of the oil. You mix your oil the way the bottle states. I have been working on 2 cycle engines since the 70's at a motorcycle, ATV and lawn & garden dealership. If you have doubts about a 50:1 oil do like I do and put 8/10ths of a gallon of gas in you jug and use a bottle of oil for a gallon and mix.
