Procedure how to replace the cartridge:

The blinking light indicates there is a malfunction; such as paper jam, cartridge missing or ink cartridge caddy has a problem (ink on bottom, or dryed up, etc; caddy can be pulled out and cleaned), or something you were going to print was not printed due to low on ink, etc. It may show a number that you could contact H/P support, give them model of printer and the error number and they may be able to assist. Actually, blinking light could be a host of problems. Take cartridges out and carefully clean the brass contacts and also on the printer head, clean that too. Edwin, USN-Ret.

You need to buy genuine cartridges. Take them back to the dealers and demand genuine cartridges that is if you did not force the cartridges into the slots. If you are printing blank sheets then change toner cartridges.

Do you mean the HP Deskjet J5700? The cover show just push down. On a few HP all-in-ones, a locking bar holds the cover and you need to lift up on the cover before it goes down. If the printer cover refuses to close, make sure that the ink cartridges are fully seated. (Push forward and slightly upwards.) Make sure that there are no foreign objects that are blocking the cover from latching securely. If you believe that the cover is closed but are getting the "Cover open" message, try resetting the printer. Turn on the printer (if it is off). Then unplug the data cable. Unplug the power cord from the printer. (I like to also unplug from the wall outlet.) Wait at least 30 seconds then reconnect the power cord (wall outlet, if needed, then to the printer). Turn on the printer if it doesn't come on. Then connect the data cable. Check if the message recurs. If it does, the printer needs to be serviced or replaced. Contact HP if the unit is still under warranty (1 year normally). If it is out of warranty, decide if it is worth the cost to have it serviced. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Return Cartridge. To much ink indicates a bad seal on the cartridge. Or you have a defective circuit board on the printer. I beleive it is a bad cartridge. Captain Jack

I'm assuming you have the correct drivers loaded and correctly configured. Set power switch to off. Unplug it for 1 minute. Plug it back in. Turn it on. If it still won't work, I suggest replacing the power supply. If it still won't work, I suggest you replace it.

Do you have a scanner on it? Is it configured?

Hi probably this fuser unit is faulty, the other issue this machine uses the electric current 110 v or 220v

You need to update the firmware as a first step to solving this problem. Go to HP.com and search for the drivers and downloads section for the firmware for your printer and install it.

Depending on what you print, these printers will print black by combining all three colors, they also use some color every time the printer calibrates. If you print mostly black and white you are better off getting a monochrome only printer.

Did you get a fuser for a 5525 instead? They fit but are different.

Hello, I hope you have installed the C4480 printer software on your MAC. click Mac OS v10 6 Snow Leopard No Scan Options or Scan settings are not set... that should help you.
