Not the lid it will be the lid switch faulty. It thinks the lid is open even though it isn't. Replace the lid switch.

I DON'T KNOW. I HAVE NOT SEEN A WASHER WITH A FUSE. IF YOUR ELECTRICAL OUTLET IS A 'GFI' STYLE,IT WILL HAVE A RESET ON THE FRONT. IF AFTER YOU RESOLVE YOUR PROBLEM, CONSIDER INSTALLING A 'GFI' RECEPTICAL FOR YOUR WASHER. PLEASE TEST THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET TO SEE IF IT IS WORKING. IF NOT, CHECK THE MAIN PANEL FOR FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN WORKING WITH ELECTRICITY. ALWAYS SHUT OFF THE MAIL HOUSE PANEL BEFORE TAKING THE COVER OFF ANY ELECTRICAL BOXES.

Hi.It may be that these machines dont actually have a lint filter,they are making alot of them without lint filters now days.There would be a button trap down at the side or the rear i would imagine for cleaning out debris such as coins,hair pins,Etc.

if a top loader check the drain pump to see if it blocked or faulty

It sounds like you may have a rinse hold function active. Check the manufacturers FAQ section and instruction manual for troubleshooting tips and how to disable rinse hold.

There is no magic reset on washing machine. What exactly is the problem? What was happening before and also when the problem occurred?

check for a faulty lid switch

Drain hose is blocked or twisted

Door switch

Does it drain the water out? It will not move on to next cycle until it has drained fully.

Hello, It sounds like your timer which is located under you knob could be faulty or your lid switch.
