I have an electric greenworks 1700 psi pressure washer that starts then stops repeatedly how do ya fix it

Sounds like the thermal switch is shutting it down. It is either bad or something is causing the motor to run too hot.

How to repair non-functioning detergent bottle

Are you really sure it's not working? Most of these only dispense detergent when the lowest pressure spray head is attached. If that's not the problem then the next most likely thing to check for is a blockage in the tubing that connects your detergent bottle to the main unit. If this was not fully rinsed out after the last time it was used, any residual detergent remaining in the line will often solidify which results in blocking the line. Good luck

Go to their website and check out support. Some outfits will only sell parts thru their "authorized" dealers.

On page 25 under trouble shooting for greenworks 1700 it states that you can turn nozzle tip to a high or low pressure position. how is that done?

The owners manual was badly written by someone in China whose English is a second language. The output pressure is set at the factory. The only thing the consumer can do is change the spray pattern by changing the nozzle. 0 for pinpoint, 25 for small fan spray pattern, 40 for large fan spray pattern, and Soap for dispersal.

I need to replace the high pressure hose on my Greenworks 1700 because the one I have has developed a hole after being in storage/no use for a few months. I purchased a replacement hose at Lowe&a

Search Fixya with your question as it was answered last June. If less than a year old contact the manufacturer. My hose burst (different brand); turns out they got a bad batch of hoses and they replaced the whole unit at no cost.

How do I remove the original hose and connect thwe replacement

Hi Mark Where the hose attaches to the machine, you'll likely have a "collar" that you will be able to turn Slide that sucker away from where the hose comes to it and you'll free up the connection. -Steve

How to get detergent to feed into Greenworks 1700 psi washer

In addition to the comment above regarding the need to use a low pressure (soap) tip, there's a chance the tanks or the hoses from the tanks to the valve and/or from the valve to the pump is plugged with dried detergent. The easiest way to clean out the hoses, unless you can see the plug with the detergent bottle removed, is to remove the top cover and pull all the hoses and flush them out. Removing the cover is not too bad. There are several recessed screws underneath, including a couple above the wheels that requires removing the wheels and axle.

How do I remove the detergent tank, so I can empty and rinse it?

You have to remove the outer coverings to get down to the tank or if you can get to the bottom end of the pressure hose, you may be able to slip off he plastic supply hose to the tank and back lush up the hose and rinse the tank out. Never leave detergent in the tank, it will congeal over time and block the line.

The pressure washer leaks from inside casing letting out water/soap might be affecting pressure of hose?

If your part of the country reaches freezing temperatures during winter, the pump probably froze. This can cause cracks to brass and (especially) aluminum pump heads. It is worth opening up the case; sometimes I find loose fittings (caused by freezing) which can be tightened up and everything is fine. If it is not freeze damage, the check valve may have gone out on the soap injector, causing pressure to back flow through the inlet barb. Otherwise, you may have a worn/leaking pump seal. This is a consumer (throw-away) pressure washer. If it's not a loose fitting which can be tightened, the unit is probably not worth fixing.

Motor runs, water flows but no pressure. I hope someone has an idea to the cause.

I presume you have put a nozzle onto the outlet. There will be no pressure without a nozzle.

After attaching and turning on water from hose, water came pouring out the bottom of the machine. It worked fine last week. Please advise

IF it was not subject to freezing weather, check the input connections on the pump and make sure that the washers are present on the hose connection.

Electric pressure washer wont start

Gail, check the cord/plug for any sign of breakage, probably either switch has gone bad or motor faulty, have tested by a small appliance repair/ vacuum repair shop as they are usually the most reasonable priced. "I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button. Check out some of my other posts if you need more tips and info."
