Just because the battery came out of a new pack does not guarantee it is good. Check it first, then take a nail file or something like it and clean the battery contacts inside the remote. The other possibility is something I do next: unplug everything for 30 seconds or so, then plug it all back in.

If this refers to their discs then it may be that your system needs a firmware update to recognize them which is a common problem, if your device is old then a new one may solve it, also if your devices laser is getting weaker or needs a service, then it may not lock on if these discs are of poorer quality. Verify those discs in another machine though even if they work it may may still come back to this firmware issue (its a form of software put into a processor to identify and work with the things it finds or works with) if it does not recognize an item then it fails to operate. If this is the case then it would require a service engineer to do this but if your machine is old it may be worth it to change it. Hope this helps.........

I would check with the manufacturer to find out if there is an internal "tint" control built into the unit that can be adjusted. If so, that adjustment will do the trick in correcting color issue. If none available you are SOL.
