Sensor how can I tell if the sensor needs replaced
You'll have to remove the sensor with wires attached. When sensor is warm you will have continuity (need a circuit tester of some type). Put the sensor in your freezer for about 15 minutes. The relay in the sensor should open and there will be no continuity. If there is continuity after removing from freezer, sensor is defective.
My dehumidifier runs but no water will collect in
Mine had the same problem: ran, sounded great, no water. Feel the coils. Mine never cooled down - stayed at room temp. No refridgerant left in the coils. It's a gas and can leak out. Expensive to recharge. Get a new one.
