How to repair a Super General split unit air conditioner. The indoor unit is off and the outdoor unit is still working ?

Turn off the breaker or remove the outside breaker contact link for at least 2 hours. This will do a full software reset. When you turn it back on, wait 10 minutes for the self test procedure to complete. If that doesn't fix it, look for diagnostic flash codes and look them up online. Or call for service. https://www.google.com/search?q=super+general+split+unit+air+conditioner+flash+codes+list ..

My super general AC show me F9 error code what is the problem?

An "F9" error code on your air conditioner typically indicates a problem with the indoor unit's fan motor. This error code can vary depending on the make and model of your air conditioner, so I recommend checking your air conditioner's user manual or consulting the manufacturer's website for specific information related to your unit. In most cases, the F9 error code is associated with a malfunctioning fan motor, which may be caused by issues such as a faulty motor, damaged wiring, or a problem with the control board. Here are some general steps to help diagnose and address the issue:
  1. Turn Off the AC: First, turn off the air conditioner to prevent any further damage or electrical issues.
  2. Check for Obstructions: Ensure that there are no obstructions blocking the indoor unit's fan blades.
  3. Check the Wiring: Inspect the wiring and connections to the fan motor for any loose or damaged wires. If you find any issues, you may need to replace or repair the wiring.
  4. Reset the Unit: Some air conditioners have a reset button or function. Try resetting the unit to see if the error code clears.
  5. Call a Professional: If the error code persists, it's best to contact a qualified HVAC technician or the manufacturer's customer support for assistance. They can diagnose and repair the problem, which may involve replacing the fan motor or control board, if necessary.

Error code E3 on a Super General air conditioner model SGSi188-i5 indicates a communication error between the indoor and outdoor units. This could be caused by a faulty control board or a wiring issue. You may try resetting the air conditioner by turning off the power supply for a few minutes and then turning it back on to see if the error code disappears. If the error code persists, it is recommended to contact a professional technician to diagnose and fix the issue.

Question edited for clarity. How do I fix P2 error in AC? If the P2 or FL error code is displaying on the air conditioner, remove the drain port cap and tilt the air conditioner to the back so the water runs out of the drain outlet. If no water is draining out when the air conditioner is tilted to the back, the unit will require a repair service. AC not working properly. Continuously switching om. And off

I would start with the basics to trouble shoot. Make sure it has proper air flow and that the coils are clean and free from debree What I am thinking is since you mentioned turn your breaker off and on was this done to reset the air conditioner or turned off for another reason. if the breaker was turned off and then back on the compressor would not have time to reset. If you were away and there was a power failure or surge it could have caused this. I would turn the main breaker off but make sure your air isn't set to turn back on when you turn your breaker back on. Give it 30 mins then slowly turn your air on and see if it works. also you need to make sure if your air conditioner has a drainage tube to drain off the water that, that isn't blocked. As well if your water drains into part of your furnace that hole is narrow to the drainage tube and calcium and lime can build up. Vinegar works great to dissolve the minerals and clear the line. There is a sensor near the bottom of the drainage pain that collects the water to go to the drainage tube. If the sensor gets wet the air conditioner will turn off. If the water stays in the pan or drains slowly the sensor will be triggered continuously and the air will start and stop continuously. It takes a while for the sensor to dry once it has been wet so you might need to leave your air off for a day to let it dry.

How to Clean Your Ducted Air Conditioning Filters

  • First thing first: how often should you clean them? As a general rule: every 3 months or so. To easily keep track of it, think: I gotta clean them every time we start a new season.
  • When is it time to clean and when is it time to replace? the moment there are holes, or you can't see through them: replace.
How to clean ducted systems filters?
    1. Unscrew the frame.
    2. Unhinge the frame and pull towards you. This should expose the air filter.
    3. Gently slide the filter off the frame.
    4. Either hose down the filter outside or run it under the tap in your laundry sink until all the dust is removed. You should be able to see through it clearly now.
    5. Flip the filter and hose down the other side to remove any remaining trapped dust.
    6. Shake off any excess water and leave outside to dry naturally.
    7. Once it is completely dry, re-fit the filter into the frame, close it and tighten the screw. More tips about your ac systems on all Air Services
