Usually has a microswitch that connects when the door is closed. Check to see where the switch is and check to see if it is connecting.

The main pump motor may not be working. If you cant hear it running, it may be jammed up or burnt out. If you can hear a loud humming noise, its possible its only jammed. You will have to remove the pump and see if any foreign matter has stuck in the pump impellor. If the pump is running, check the small outlet holes in the spray arms, they may be blocked.

Bad timer. Sadly, the cost of replacing the time and the solenoid is likely prohibitive. Timer is expensive. Sorry, I know this is not what you want to hear.

Control board defective or washer pump.

Are you able to select cycles. Is there any water in the bottom of the dishwasher.

Possibly not enough water. Water valve may need replacing

I'm pretty sure the "air hose" is the drain hose from the dishwasher and is supposed to empty in the garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are made for this optional hook up with a plug you have to knock out and remove from the inside of the disposal. If you run the dishwater with the hose not connected to disposal it has to be going somewhere!

It is normal for there to water above the sump area on that model dishwasher. How this unit works is...the timer send voltage to the drain solenoid for a short period of time, then disconnects the power. The water pressure that is created by the pump is what **keeps** the drain valve open, until the water pressure/volume is low enough for the drain valve spring to overcome and the valve closes. I assume that you have cleaned the air gap out?

If it is electrically activated, it is probably a loose wire from the timer control or possibly a bad timer switch.If it is mechanically activated, it may be a broken plastic part in the actuator or at the door itself. Good Luck..

u can start by looking and checking all hoses going in and out of dishwasher. usally not hard to locate sometimes a clog will back water up the spout and cause the leak message

If there’s a thermal fuse, replace it.
